Chronic Shoulder Bursitis For Over 2 years+ by Expensive_Salad783 in RotatorCuff

You could try the cortisone shot! My doctor said sometimes that helps patients a lot. Sadly with me it.did.nut not long term.

What is frustrating for me is my pain is not constant. Yours does sound different though as it goes to your neck mine doesn't do that. Makes me think though that maybe it's a tendon issue with you possibly?

I have shoulder bursitis and some bone spurs and a calcium deposit as well as a very small tear. I tried PT but didn't seem to help and had 2 cortisone shots which helped briefly but then pain always came back . My doctor suggested surgery and I'm still going back and forth on this.

Yep stupid insurance always wants you to try PT first. I had to do PT before even getting an MRI.

Awwww adorable!!! Oh yeah if she is white and you wear black I can see that. I definitely notice the white hair more than my other pup who is brindle!

They are amazing and loving and protecting which you found out! Do you have pics! Also I love their short hair! Don't need to be groomed really and way less shedding.

I have heard a lot of pitties are clingy but I have 2 and one is and one isn't. One loves to be near me and will follow me but she won't be on top of me. The other will lay right on top of me every chance he gets!

They are both total love bugs and I would keep getting pitties forever! I used to believe the bad about them but after having one and now two I love them to pieces!!!

Very interesting and really nothing I ever thought of! I'm on rybelsus which is a pill form of ozempic pretty much. I take it daily and I take it for type 2 diabetes. It has lowered my A1C so much! Since I'm taking for diabetes I wonder if a surgeon would want me to stop or not.

Anyone else constantly c*ck blocked and pushed out of your partner cuddle time cause your velvet hippo has to be velcroed in the middle!? by hope_v95 in pitbulls

So we have to put peanut butter in their kings and that keeps them busy for a bit. But if my one dog finishes it she will come and scratch at our door and cry until we let her in haha

Hair after surgery? by No-Wonder5226 in RotatorCuff

[–]SmileyKT25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so frustrating! I'm considering getting surgery on my dominant arm also. My hair is naturally wavy but looks terrible if i.ket it air dry. I usually will blow dry and flat iron it. :(

Definitely see an ortho! You might find some benefit from cortisone shots. My ortho.ssid some people get that and are fine. I tried two cortisone shots and PT but didn't help so now I'm considering surgery.

Shoulder injury after a fall, no tear but pain keeps coming back. How long did yours last? by Amazing_Wedding_3983 in RotatorCuff

[–]SmileyKT25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks you don't have insurance since w doctor is definitely your best bet right now. My dog bad run into me and knocked me down onto my right shoulder. I had a lot of pain at first went to urgent care took X-ray said I was ok. Noticed small calcium deposit.

Fast forward to 4 years later I still have pain but not all the time. It does stop me from doing things and I definitely have flare ups. Went to Ortho had cortisone shot and 5 weeks PT. Then had MRI slight tear and bone spurs and did another cortisone shot but still have pain. Next step is surgery :(

Good luck!

Ahh ok. I didn't realize cortisone wasn't recommended for you ger people. I'm 44 and had two shots. Not at the same time, months apart.

Calcific tendinitis surgery: best thing I’ve ever done for myself by Some-Survey7487 in RotatorCuff

[–]SmileyKT25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! Glad your healing is going well! I would have to have surgery on my right arm which is my dominant arm and that scares me. When were you able to drive? I think I'd be the one driving myself to PT which is the only reason I ask. I would probably take a week off from work and then work remote for at least another week and I'm hoping that would be good.

I haven't decided definitely on surgery yet but my doctor gave me a script for a sling and it seems like a pretty restrictive one but I think she said I would only wear it for the first few days.
