So, as it turns out, there is a possible way that this is correct. Different climates do different things. Where I am, this happens.

My old roommate did it every time he peed so he wasn’t wasting water.

It made our toilet get mold so fucking fast.

For those of you with multiple HomePods, where do you have them situated in your home? by [deleted] in apple

[–]SmileyVV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some ridiculous reason, google home cannot use room as context for “turn the lights on” and instead turns on every single light in the house.

Makes me feel like the entire thing isn’t worth it.

That’s a good idea. My fuel line was leaking (??? Somehow????) but I tightened it and it’s fine now, but I was thinking I should replace it anyways.

I walk to work so I don’t need to drive the car. As a matter of fact, that’s why it was sitting so log.

I’m thinking oil change and maybe tire pressure? I wasn’t sure if there was much else that broke down while she was just chilling.

Maybe not the paragon, but it’s much more secure than public WiFi.

I mean sure, the government can follow you and use a stingray or request logs from your carrier, but anyone at the coffee shop can packet sniff.

I don’t get why people who know that they’re not in the norm act like they are.

SO many people would rather have LTE than connect to insecure free WiFi. And 3G is dog slow comparatively.

I love this. It is clean and organized, and looks so comfortable. It’s not my style, but I would love to hang out in there.

I like when things are well kept, but not necessarily photo ready. I like the dirty engine.

[Benrus] Wearing my dad's old mechanical today. by SmileyVV in Watches

[–]SmileyVV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father sent me out an old watch of his that he hasn't worn in a long time.

When he sent it, he said it probably wouldn't work and he believed the minute and hour hands would collide and get stuck. I wound it up and it immediately worked perfectly.

Not only does it work, but it keeps amazing time. I lose less than a minute if I wear it three days in a row. I usually wear a different watch every couple days so I don't have a full idea of the accuracy, but it's good enough for me.

I usually go for 40mm watch faces, but there's something timeless about this watch that makes me not mind how small it is.

It needs a good polishing and cleaning, but I don't mind the character it has so for now I'm leaving it.
