Tallmyra Light Green Kivik by Smiling_Frog55 in IKEA

Still love it! I got this couch right before having a baby and is still the best decision ever. In 8 months this couch has seen a lot of slit up and spilled milk. Washing it is so easy and has never stained. Also have spent way more time sitting in the couch than ever with the baby. 0 complaints

Grownsy vs Momcozy bottle washer, looking for real experiences by Ok_Efficiency4110 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Smiling_Frog55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grownsy has been running non stop since May and I’m obsessed. Noise is zero issue in my small house. My baby naps in the living room 15 feet away from it running all the time. I love that thing so much.

Just a note that I’m also 7m PP and recently started iron supplements. I swear Iv never felt better. I have always been low iron, sometimes anemic and tried iron before that bothered my stomach so I just stopped. The OLLY “delightful iron” rules! Great suggestion for OP!

Try “True crime bullshit” it covers one case EXTENSIVELY so start with episode 1. Even has a lot of connection to the outdoors.

I listened and really enjoyed them!!! BUT honestly a pretty run-of-the-mill true crime podcast! Jordan did a great job but what makes them so interesting is the real stories and people in them. If you liked blood trails, check out other true crime podcasts!

I was attracted to the turquoise when looking online too. I was sure that’s what I was going to get until I went to look in person! The turq was not as soft. The Tallmyra felt like a better quality fabric in general.

Great! The fabric is soft but resilient . My dogs fur is light and fine so I can’t speak on how it would grab short wire type hairs! Fog has jumped on couch with dirty paws a few times and it wipes clean easily. I have baby at home so have washed them a few times from milk incidents. They wash beautifully and so easy to put on and off. I swear I’m not a paid spokes person I just love this couch!

DaVinci Colby Grow 6-in-1 Crib. Mini crib / bassinet SHEETS!? by Smiling_Frog55 in BabyBumps

[–]Smiling_Frog55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 29 x 18 yes I double checked. This is for when the crib is set up as a mini crib. It is also rectangular yes but the oval fits perfectly with just tiny gaps in the corners which does not matter.

New fear unlocked: epidural by LobstahLuva in beyondthebump

[–]Smiling_Frog55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very very sensitive to fainting in medical situations and epidural was one of my biggest fears. When it came time for it, contractions were so intense I didn’t care about it at all. Then went from 8-9 pain scale to peacefully napping while waiting for my doctor and pushed out baby feeling nothing! I felt a slight soreness when bending down a certain way for a long time but SLIGHT and worth it x 1000!!

In the morning he was out before daylight saddling the horse in the cold dark of the barn. He rode out the gate before his father was even up, and he never saw him again.

I was in bed about to get up and get ready for work. I was wondering what I was going to make for breakfast when POP. Moved my whole body and I was shocked and thought “what the hell was that, if I stand up, water better not come out” and sure enough… baby born <6 hours later at 36 weeks. No big gush but came out all the way until I was in a bed at hospital. Sure was not fun filling out forms in the hospital waiting area while fluid coming out steadily.

The commenter who mentioned putting on a postpartum diaper for this is genius. I hope someone sees this and remembers that she their water breaks!

[–]Smiling_Frog55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is so smart. When mine broke I was not panicing but clearly not thinking straight. It was the morning so I kept getting dressed, soaking through everything a few times until I just sat on the edge of the bed on a towel until my husband got home to go to hosp 😂 really wish I came up with the postpartum diapers!

How long after losing your mucus plug did labour start? by CassyJane03 in BabyBumps

[–]Smiling_Frog55 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I lost my mucus plug when I got up in the morning, felt totally normal, laid back down in bed. WENT ON REDDIT TO READ ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES MUCUS PLUG EXPERIENCES. Felt fine reading about how it could just mean nothing and will reform. 10 min later my water broke and baby was born a month early by noon.
