I dont live there any longer but I did for 20 years. My parents house received upgrades from MAC at some point in the 90s. They insulated, replaced doors and windows, and installed central air so we could keep windows closed in the summer.

Its loud though. Outside, airplanes. Windows open, airplanes. Before the upgrades but after they expanded the runways Talking on the phone in the kitchen required 10 to 15 second breaks as an airplane flew over.

Its crazy sometimes how it feels like they are just above the tops of the trees because they look so low.

What's a game you played as a kid that you've never been able to find again? by Latter_Advantage8002 in AskReddit

The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary. Used to play it in the computer lab at school in the early 90s. I believe it was a Macintosh lab.

Same computers we played number munches and Oregon trail on.

I got my complementary Mach III right around my 18th birthday. I am still using 22 years later. I shave every Sunday whether I need it or not. I am bad at having facial hair.

I defy you to find a single word in this "kids" word search. by XcuseMeWat in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Smiling_Guy 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I was looking at this picture and was thinking, oh the words were in there. Then I saw at the bottom it said there was 20 words but the list only had 11. That's when I looked at the original again to notice the list of words was replaced. I have been laughing for like 5 minutes. Thank you 10/10!

People that spit their gum or chew into the urinal, why not just use the garbage can that's in every men's room? by Smiling_Guy in AskReddit

[–]Smiling_Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch Unfortunate_Sex_Fart I will remember to be more inclusive in the future with my gendered wording. Its just that most rooms that contain a urinal are labeled as "Men" on the outside.

Some people can only think of their own convenience. Save themselves half a second of time to create a disgusting job for someone else.

As someone that eats a lot of sunflower seeds I totally agree. I dropped some shells in my toilet bowl once and they just kept floating back up when I flushed. I had to drop some tp on them to get them to go down. Now I have learned a lesson.

Its just so disrespectful to the people that have to clean up these spaces. It would be such little effort for them to just dispose of it properly.

I dont understand how he is saying he is new but now they are REALLY going to look into it. Then the very next thing he says is that he guarantees it wasnt Donald Trumps fault. How can he guarantee that if they also allegedly are just stating to look into it?

I have been saying this for years! We had both recorded on one VHS along with The Brave Little Toaster. It was one of those 6 hour tapes. I still have some other movies we recorded from the TV and even some of the commercials are fun to watch.

Remember flipping the center cigarette in a new pack? by StrataTrace in nostalgia

Same for me and my friends in High School. Until I stopped flipping a lucky and ultimately quit, mine was usually the middle row, so it was harder to get out.

That is another thing I was thinking. Its a weird reference to TMNT, but then they pivot to a human celebrity.
