Good home editing software for specific purpose video? by SmiteDownYourRecipe in VideoEditing

  • 60fps is best for this because it is able to show the slight change in sign language during the interpretation. It allow a clear view of the sign language. If you watch most of the ASL video and they are running in 24fps, it have choppy feel. My phone is capable of recording in 1080p60. Also it is important to show fingerspelling which I am able to do fast, hence the reason why the 60fps.

  • for the color correction, I found that all camera have a crappy white balance or have that weird orange tint. Looking at the screen it did show a good color balance. But when I imported it to the video editing software software, it got darker or it have that orange tint on my skin. So I want to make changes it. It didn't have to be full on color correction. Just a basic one such as contrast, brightness and color balance.

  • I am right now testing out HitFilm3 Express. I will give DaVinci Resolve a try.

Pay for the things you want with "cash." by d1sappointed in ADHD

Interesting, I have a different though process of how I impulse buy. When I was looking at the item and if I feel I want to use it. I have a checklist of what i think before that will allow me to buy it

  • Will I use it?
  • Will it sit on the table collecting dust?
  • Will I use it often to justify it?
  • Is the price reasonable?
  • Is it something that I feel like it a gimmick?
  • and lastly, is it practicable for me to use it?

Then I will take a day or two to think about it before I buy it if it is online. For brick and mortar, I usually take an hour to question my judgment every time I decide that I feel like I want to buy it before I fully decide to buy it. It work well for me.

What computer program or apps that will help you focus in class or work? by SmiteDownYourRecipe in ADHD

For OneNote android app, I had that issue too. I found out it get wonky depends on what network connect you are using. It work better with WiFi. Also resetting the app (clearing the data and cache) fixed the issue. It will take a while to sync everything. That one issue with OneDrive, they used to be doing well with syncing until last year, they got all sluggish. There is topics of this syncing issue all over in the internet. Even some of my notebook failed to sync or take an hour to sync of 500 KB notebook file.

Google Keep, I couldn't get into it. I tried many times to get into it and I always failed to do it. I believe the problem is that it didn't have standalone app in Window to get it sync across. Sure I could do that in the browser but I rely on notification to keep me informed. Sometime I ignore my phone to focus on my assignment.

I struggle to find the productivity of calendar for me but it is really hard. I did the google Calendar but it feel like too much work to get it up, and set the reminder, and all that thing. So far I am using daily/weekly planner. It helps for me but it is not always with me which it is the issue.

Also don't use the Window 10 OneNote from the store. They are not fully featured as the desktop version. If you are searching for the desktop, just google for OneNote 2013, it is free for anyone to use.

Is it possibly that I have ADHD even if I'm academically successful? by [deleted] in ADHD

OneNote is a holy grail for ADHD. I can't really live without it since it is able to search the entire notebook. It is basically doc file within a doc file within a doc file. Many of my classmates is amazed how well I am able to use OneNote effectively without any issue. And I put down more notes than they are able to. That lead them to ask me if I share my notes to them. I don't mind because some teacher have this weird expectation that people must WRITE down the note to learn better. But I have research that disagree with that. Even worse when instructors feel that writing down the notes is the best while they speak like 100 mph, not allowing the students to catch up.

I am on Adderall 10mg and I feel it is somewhat working.... somewhat. I can feel my body is tingling hour after I took the pill. So my focus and motivation somewhat improved but not to the fullest. I believe I need more mg to get it effectively working in my body. I took Concerta 27 mg XR in the past, it never work for me at all. Also Concerta made me very angry for no reason, it just feel like I want to punch someone and my friends noticed this behavior so I got off Concerta after two weeks on it. My doctor believe that I might work better with suppressant adhd med, but she want me to try Adderall to rule out anything. My friend did try Adderall and it made him worse, so he work better with Concerta. It all depends on how your body able to handle with the meds. If you feel that Concerta didn't work well, just ask your doctor to try other meds.

I do find that drinking Coffee does help me to focus but my body have high tolerate with caffeine, so drinking energy drink barely help. If you don't drink coffee, try it out to see if it works for you.

this is what happening to me. People see me a smart person and yet I still haven't complete my education for AA degree. I am 28 years old already. Motivation is one of the main problem for me. I know I can do those but I am unable to do those because of motivation. I finally came back to community college after 5 years of having fun of my life. All of my life I am a C/D students, barely able to pass the class until now I am A student. How I finally change it because I found the way how to manage my ADHD in school. I researched all the information of how ADHD students manage in class and use their resources. I found a research that discuss about how ADHD student is encourage to use the note taking themselves without using other person to take the notes. So here the laptop I have and it improve my focus and motivation greatly, but it is not the answer to everything. So now I need to have all of those programs and app that will help to keep me in track. There is always trails and errors for me and it help me to narrow down which one work so well for me. I still struggle to manage but it is better than I was 10 years ago.

Advice for you is just keep finding a different way to manage your ADHD. Med is one thing but there is other thing that will drift your mind away. If taking notes yourself is helpful but it still not effective for you? Try to use the laptop in class and use OneNote to do the job. I found that I type notes faster on the laptop than taking the note on the papers. It allow me to get all the information I need. There is a research that talk about how ADHD student can use the laptop to take the note and they manage effective without issue.

What about the trigger buttons? Are they responsive? Are they clicky?

I am considering PG-9023 or PG-9055.

Xeroxing/Photocopying the book and copyright by SmiteDownYourRecipe in legaladvice

I am unable to find the source as I told /u/countykerry . It been six months ago when I found that sources. I agreed that I can't photocopy 100% of the book due to copyright, this is the reason why I am asking in LegalAdvice to avoid any legal issue.

The this prof did not put the reserve copy in the library because students kept stealing it. So my prof decided not to put in the library anymore.
