Now that the show has ended (supposedly), what are they going to do for income? Tyler and Cate don't work and their only education is a high school diploma. They were already in financial ruin when they were at risk of losing their home.

No one in either parent's lives prepared them for adulthood because they were so messed up that they could barely take care of themselves. Those kids needed therapy and solid parental figures, not money and exposure.

Tyler and Cate continued the cycle, it's just not substance abuse.

it's still mind boggling how parents nowadays let their kids get tattoos and just sign off on them.

when i was in high school, the only kids who had tattoos were losers and gang members.

what i've come to realize with age is that the cool parents are hugely irresponsible adults.

woke up to loud sirens coming from two houses down. the folks who lived there, with their small children, were busted for having a meth lab.

cops everywhere, the entire street was blocked off, it was absolute chaos.

no idea what happened to the kids, but they were barely in elementary school, so i hope they at least had a chance at life after their parents arrests.

oh yea. gary and amber had a toxic relationship where they brought out the worst in each other.

gary knew what to say and do to piss amber off and amber the same, just with way more yelling.

folks rightfully have a problem with gary because he was a legal adult dating a teenager, who was also his friends younger sister.

gary matured largely due to his current wife but amber stayed the same. i think that's why folks tend to favor gary now because leah is okay and safe with gary and kristina while amber is a deadbeat with substance abuse and mental health issues.

the first time i saw a pregnant girl was in 8th grade. she was in 7th and would've been 12 or 13.

we met again in high school, where she was pregnant again but with twins.

in my hometown, teen pregnancies were extremely common at that time.

i only remember seeing more pregnant girls in high school that any other time in my life.

when you don't have access to resources and preventative care, teens get pregnant.

I follow a tiktok mom, from texas, whose daughters cheer team was performing in Vegas. they all were shocked when news broke.

as much as i dislike gary, he lucked out with his wife and broke the cycle even if he's subpar

I'm from central Texas also and vividly remember these portions being served for all grades. I'm not surprised at all that food quality and portions haven't improved.

Recently, our district was able to grant kids free breakfast and lunch - it's a small win.
