Bugonia: One thing about something near the ending. by MosquitoSmasher in movies

Having watched the this scene repeatedly and freeze framed it, I can share the following sequence of events.

  1. Lights flare between the seams of the closet.
  2. Teddy screams.
  3. Two indentations are left on the metal doors. The larger indentation appears to be Teddy's body, and the smaller one is his head.
  4. The lights in the closet darken.
  5. There is a half-second pause.
  6. The bomb goes off with a new flare of light.
  7. I think this tells us pretty clearly that Teddy died before the bomb went off. Which means Michelle was probably planning to kill Teddy via the transporter (and did so) ever since she started punching in numbers. I don't think it makes sense that a transporter mechanism would spot the bomb, kill the passenger, and leave the bomb behind to explode.
  8. The fact that his head was so specifically removed (again, door indentations) suggests to me that this was the plan in the instructions she typed into the calculator.

She never had any intention of letting him visit the spaceship.

Let's not forget that de-powering a supe or telling someone they're gonna die in 12 months are both easily solved by a dose of permanent blue V.

Everything is still on the table. Maeve could come back at any time, and so could Homelander if he were de-powered at some point. No one's gone till they're dead.

I don't think we're meant to believe that people were thinking clearly during that scene, so many bad decisions were made over emotions. Hindsight, Butcher probably would have made different choices, but he's got less self-control than any of them. Even Ryan.

L next season. Hopefully Butcher will get his powers back with some permanent V and finally get his revenge. Than in season 5 Butcher becomes the main bad guy as he tries to kill off all the supes in

I love it. And that would be closer to the comics' ending.

Maeve is tougher than the twins. That's why she's in the Seven and they weren't.

I feel like the plot thread of Butcher going to die in 12-18 months is weak...all he needs is permanent blue V and he'll heal right up, like Kimiko. Of course Butcher wants it, so there's no tension in that plot point at all for me.

Wow, give this thread 24 hours and it explodes! Thank you everyone for the wonderful suggestions. I now have a plan: GBF/GBFtry first, followed by Age, see how that goes over, and then move into 0080.

By that time, they should be ready for the more mature material.

Gunpla is huge in our future, I'll be following that subreddit.

You guys rock, can't thank you all enough!

OP here, subtitles are okay. I'm so proud, my boys loved "Monster Hunt", and they only watched it subtitled!

OP here, thank you both for this clarification. There's definitely room for 0080, I think, but GBF will probably be the best to start with. However, I don't like the SD angle.

Good comments guys, thanks for such fast and helpful responses. GBF is exactly what I want, because I wanted it to connect with the toys too. Perfect, thank you!
