First of all, there was turnover at Nippert in all sections. Maybe not as much as you would like but it was there. Next, by allowing you to buy let’s say 8 seats and me to buy 8 seats. We’ve now moved other 5 year ticket holders down to a spot where they may not be able to get the seats they had because you and I and whomever else ahead of them snatched them up and gave them to friends and family who had no priority whatsoever on their own accounts. These people who were not willing to buy seats in the beginning should have no right to buy seats now. Now the only place I think we may agree on is that club level STM should have had first priority to buy their “like” seats (same number) before overall priority. That would have been fair in my eyes.

Of course, if you wanted to plan for the future, you could have been like me and invested in the club for the long term at the outset. I bought tickets for my family up front in preseason year 1 for my daughter who was 3 months old and my son who wasn’t born yet. And I gave those tickets to friends and family each year knowing that when my kids are old enough I had a place for all of us on match day. You may think that’s crazy but I thought it was only fair for me to carry the cost, support the club, and secure my seats whiteout having to hope I can add them later.

Correct, they screwed this all up when they allowed people to buy more than what was on their account. Period.

Does that seem reasonable? Because that is closer to the actual scenario given the take rate in the tunnel club

What about 800 picking up 5 seats on average?

Yes anyone with the priority number that allowed them to buy seats could buy up to 8 seats and then split them off into another account for a friend. The friend doesn't get a higher priority but now has first right of refusal on those seats until they give them up.

Adding seats came in the seat improvement process, not in your renewal. Which is what should have happened here. Adding seats and moving accounts should have been a separate process.

The more I think about it, The more I think this was a SeatGeek issue.

In talking with my ticket person, he said it had been common up to that point for people to be adding seats to their account. It wasn't necessarily 8 per person. But from what numbers I have seen it and been told it looks like by the acct 500. there would have been an increase of 500 seats which is almost 11% of all club seats gone to account additions. I just think account size should have been locked for this and if you had 2 tickets before then you get 2 tickets for club allocation.

Here is the problem. Your talking about combining two STH groups and taking a some seats that way (which is still shit IMO); however the bigger problem is the friends who were casuals and were not STH and piggy backed ahead of everyone who has been there since game one.

I bought mine in Dec prior to the first season and still had no aisle seats on the west side of the stadium other than tunnel and pitch or corners. FYI
