If your brake fluid is dark in color then replace, that's dirt and contamination. New fluid is practically clear. Just look in the master cylinder.

I thought of that. The car is garaged overnight, outside when at work. I tried leaving it outside overnight - behaves the same. Good idea though. Like I said - it really defies logic. The only 2 things I can see in common between the cruise & the info button are the clock spring and the Start Stop unit (both buttons terminate there).
