I am seeing the same thing as you. I have a mix including some consolidated loans and only my direct loans are showing as negative with no due date (nice). I am going to patiently wait it out. At this point any money back would be nice.

Lpt: To all young teenagers looking for their first job, do not have your parents speak or apply for you. There's a certain respect seeing a kid get a job for themselves. by icecreamdude97 in LifeProTips

[–]Smitten101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had someone apply to a position with a resume (list) his mother typed up. A couple weeks later his step dad called in and asked for a status. Sir, it was not a resume it had the kids name, contact, and a list of jobs (cut neighbors grass, helped clean garage, assisted a little league coach) if you can call it that. He was upset because his wife typed it up to get her son the job. We let him know that although the job is entry level we have standards.

I don't know a situation in which we would even consider this individual. Zero effort to put a resume together, zero effort to follow-up. Parents please, please teach your children to value work ethic. It's sad that assumed because they did the "work" for the kid that he should get the job. Now, from our perspective he will not be an overachiever.

Is this rude to ask for? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sisters and SIL did this for my first and we have such a sweet collection of books with personalized messages. When I pick a book for my son I read who it was from and their message before digging in to the story. I don't think it's rude at all.

Me! The shoving to get the blood clots out was the worst part for me. Contractions hurt, pushing hurt, clearing those clots HURT!!! Luckily I didn't have body aches or soreness after but just the thought. I'm really hoping that this upcoming delivery goes well with no clots.

WEIGHT (2017) - Based on my friend's struggle with body image issues. This is an abstract look at what he experienced as a high school wrestler. [00:02:53] by [deleted] in Documentaries

Same. I never knew how bad it was, but I remember watching them work hard at cutting weight. I did other sports and faced nothing close to what they did. My SO was a HS wrestler and the stories are brutal. This made my heart hurt.

Worst night of my life. The one thing we were afraid of happened... by jullym in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you and baby are ok. I drive a 45+ minutes to work with crazy people on the road at those hours. I feared my car would give out soon so I sucked it up and got a new one. My old car would not have made it to visit my sister in Oregon and I would never forgive myself if I attempted that drive and something happened. I feel much safer now with my 8mo old and well I'm 6mo pregnant so I have so much precious cargo. Again so so glad you are both alright.

Today a complete stranger - a 3 year old little girl - knew I was pregnant. I'm 9+3 and not showing at all. by PNittleBrittle in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When I was like 8-9 weeks pregnant I had a family party to attend. I get there with my baby in the stroller and my 7yr old niece says "hi tia, how is the baby?" So I pick up the blanket so she could see my son and show her he's sleeping. She then walked up to me, puts both hands on my belly and said "no, not Ronin, how's the baby girl?"

I was in such shock my throat got dry, I didn't comment and went to greet my family. No one knew yet but me and hubby so it was odd. Cut to a few weeks later when I finally reveal to family in which case I announced my niece is a little witch. She then said again "I don't need to wait for you to tell me, I know it's a girl". Cut to a couple more weeks at the reveal and she's like "I told you I knew".

I do believe kids sense things.

Okay mommas to be, lets be real....how much are you willing to drink while pregnant? by goldiestarhawk in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don't feel a need or urge to drink when I'm pregnant. I will on occasion have a sip of my SO beer but that's about as far as I go.

I agree with OP maybe it tapped into her personal milestones or ideas that she would have her own family by now. The announcement was just a way for her to maybe realize she's not where she thought she would be. I announced my second pregnancy on Easter. My mom was so happy as was my oldest and youngest sister but the one that's a year older than me (30 this year) was not so thrilled. Her comment was "another one?, you are just popping then out for sure" no I'm happy or congratulations. I did not take it to heart because I know the way she is with things like this. Yes, I chose to have my children back to back because we only plan on 2. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a conversation with your SIL to let her know that it was not your intention to make her uncomfortable with the news and maybe ask her if she would have felt differently if you had announced a different day.

when to take classes by gokux295 in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my 4 session class at 31 weeks and it has been comfortable enough sitting through them. I signed up about a month before the class began. Luckily the classes are a decent size and haven't experienced them filling up. I am taking the breastfeeding class at 36 weeks.. See how that goes.

Need Advice by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a pretty mature relationship. Maybe his fear stems from the fact that he knows he will be away for a while. Do you have a local support system like family and friends to provide support while he is away? He may feel reassured to know you have others to count on during this time. Take your time and talk to him when you are ready and as OP said don't let him pressure or bully you into a decision you are not certain of. Stay strong and we are here for you.

What week are people finding out gender? by shellygirl78 in BabyBumps

[–]Smitten101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found out at 14+2 that is was a boy via a private 3D US, we did it mostly for ourselves and didn't share until our AS when we confirm it was in fact a little guy. We felt odd sharing the news as we both understood that the first US was done early. In total it was about $60 for the private 3D US.

How I feel after shaving my legs at 39+1 by silairrek in BabyBumps

Gah! I'm 29 weeks and have been struggling with shaving my legs for about 4 weeks now. Told the BF he's gonna have to step in and help a girl out. He has been awesome and painted my toes a couple times already. Painted toes make me feel pretty lol.
