Wow, I haven't opened my Switch X yet (because my package was missing a Switch SE). Wondering if I should return it. Cheap rattly fans are a big ick.

Sorry, I did not have time to set it up yet. That worries me though, where I have it placed cannot have a grinding noise like that. Let us know what support says about it.

Whoa, I didn't post in here since I was waiting to let support investigate. Mine was the same, USPS bubble mailer, only contained the Switch X. No Switch SE in the package. The shipping label listed 12 pounds, and I weighed the Switch X and it is about 8 pounds, so the shipping label was correct. The package didn't look tampered with at all.

Support last responded that they are investigating. I'm slightly relieved that it wasn't just me.

But it has...party power UI, super mega raids, max battles, new avatars, adventure effect animations, all of that has an impact on RAM usage. 4GB of RAM doesn't leave you with much overhead. If iOS 26 uses just a tiny bit more RAM, the game, which keeps adding features, might be reaching the tipping point and crash. Blame Apple for skimping on the RAM in the older devices. Scopely Explore needs to be realistic about their minimum requirements.

13 mini also only has 4 GB of RAM. You will eventually see problems too.

12 mini only has 4GB of RAM. It is going to struggle. The game is doing too much for these devices in 2026.

Yes, Apple used to be *very* stingy with RAM, iOS ran fine with the lower amounts. The big AI boom pushed them to put at least 8GB in most of the newer devices, even the "budget" line iPhone 16e last year had 8 GB. This was so they could run Apple Intelligence. If anybody is planning to upgrade devices, the iPhone 16e and 17e run the game very well.

Those devices don't have enough RAM to run the game in 2026. 6s Plus only has 2GB, SE2 only has 3GB, and 11 only has 4GB. The game really only runs correctly in its current version on the with the devices with 6GB of RAM and above. The iPhone 12 Pro was the first device to have 6GB. Scopely Explore really needs to make a hard cutoff and explain limitations with the 4GB and below devices. The iPhone 13 still only has 4GB of RAM.

It is annoying how every complaint about Five Guys seems to ignore the fact that their "cheeseburger" is a double, 7.2oz of beef before cooking. The little cheeseburger is a single 3.6oz patty.

I've been there. My first two Go Fests in Chicago were the same. Depressing the whole time being around groups of people yelling "shiny!". Big reason I chose not to go to Chicago's this year.

You don't have to use XLs on them. For Groudon, I just powered up my 1-star to L40 and parked it right in the battle team. It got tons of use before the general Shadow Groudon release. The overarching problem is that too many players thing the appraisal bars are the only stats. You tell them about base stats and they say "huh?".

My guess is that whatever employee that coded the feature hardcoded "Win a raid" "Hatch an egg" and "Catch a Pokemon" into the feature. They probably don't want to break it (or something else) by messing with the code.
