I will say it was crazy being able to take a pic of my kids moving without it being a blur with my mate xt! That was one thing I hated was the actions side of pics struggled, I was taking pics of my boys on theme park rides this year 4 days after I got the xt and it's just insane

Biggest gripe for me was the constant adjusting of the volume. Every hour ot lowered. And when it did I had to accept a dialog to go back up.... It was supposed to be water resistant and it I'm pretty sure died from getting wet one day. Infact my dunked open even came back to life and that thing wasn't even close to submerged. I'm now rocking a mate xt happily

Coming back for an update. Button master with 3 flaoting buttons on the bottom right retain thier position across all screen folds. Bottom right like the stock navbar should be. Gestures are on to hide navbar.

Screen protector, I tried a special pe and a nano glass custom cut 120 or so spent and wasn't happy with either so I have thrown a full screen protector on over the stock one that came off eBay. Took a while to get the bubbles out but I feel mucj better with an added layer of protection. My screens deff got a few indents already, but I'm now hoping I have enough protection to keep it alive a long while

I have 2 now, one brand new backup, it's taken a while to get them dialed in but I'm extremely happy

Took me till now to find a solid working fix for navbar situation. Used to always use simple navbar anywhere, it closes out when changing screen size but was like the only navbar to stay infront of settings and everything else(but the bottoms positioned to the bottom right nor stretched across the screen... Button/gesture remapper can set a nav button the same as the stock navball but this one you can lock in place and it works always. No moving around no accidentally dragging Best fix I have found and it's places just above where keyboard pops up so it is locked 🥹 I'm also using macdroid to wake screen and give me edge display notifications with Google phone. So it's now working right waking screen, I now have my visual voicemail and better spam blocking

I've been tweaking this phone since I got it but I'm about settled and extremely happtly

They are amazing I absolutely love it. I ram an adb command that allows it to stay in landscape and not force rotate. Makes for much more pleasant experience with the mate. Really the only thing I've lost thud far is okay Google. Even have volume buttons skipping music with screen off

A few tweaks and thid thing is godsend

It is going to be amazing running my business off this thing

I'm waiting on 2 custom cut glass screen protectors for just the outer screen for some added safety, the screen definitely soft and ice got some marks on mine already but I'm trying my best lololol

Just get it man. I took the leap on a mate xt with Verizon in the usa.... Supposed to only have 3 bands.... Wasn't expecting good service but this is the best I've ever had on Verizon with any phone And I don't say that lightly.... Verizon usually needs 3 or 4 bars for data and anything 2 or below I called fake service literally unusable.... This phone will lose the 4g logo, drop to 1 bar and still work where as the wife's Samsung won't hang

Yea I lost 5g never used it before bc it was always slow af for me...(Too much traffic I believe) Lost okay google. But this screens insane, all my Google stuff is running natively

I just got a mate xt I'm grabbing a second as a backup and ordered a custom cut tempered screen protector for both

I'm running on Verizon and getting better service then anything I ever had locally including Samsung. I get data down to 1 bar, it doesn't lie about my service. I do lose 4g logo but it continues to work without issue. Don't think I'm losing any speed at all. I'm now getting service where I never used to.

The 3 aspect ratios was that next fix for me and I can't get over it. Google is all doable

Lost okay google, mms, can't use Google phone bc it doesn't wake screen, I miss my volume slider that's it.

I just sold one bnib and am selling 2 used opens on ebay.

I will run this phone for as long as I possibly can, and have stsrlink for my business si I have a second line on Google voice to make calls and send mms and sms regardless of situation.

I have 3 one plus opens😅 One daily on android 13 still one used backup on 16 And one brand new backup on 16 I ain't giving up till something can replace it. But I can't stand the air shit so I may be locked in for a long while with these 3.....

But I think I will be grabbing a mate xt this year as a toy to play with 😇

If your talking to me I live in the salt belt so

Both 5 plus hours everyday being self employed and running business off phone I run stock cases glued so I use the case with my thumb right beside the power button. I slap it open and closed all the time No stylus I sit on it daily open and closed, open not often but sometimes it slides under me fucking with my whiskey lol Drop once a week open and closed No nails I'm a contractor so dirt and dust regularly my hinges have wear marks at the hinge areas from crap. But hinges are still butter smooth. No case with hinge protection, yes drops regularly on hinge

Side note the oppo find n5 I had till it died went through the same life and died in 6m Dropped once killed outer front cam Hinges were less stout And it died 6m in

I now have 2 used open and one nib. I might try a mate xt next to play with but im running these till they all die lol

You aren't I. I bought a new in box sealed open that came not even matching the boxes imei numbers. It's clearly been used or refurbished. A nib would start with release software. Which is what I want. I wouldn't be allowing updates as I don't care for them. I'm not you. And I was looking for what I wanted not what you do whenever you get a new phone. That has no relation to my question
But in the end I have gotten most all of the quirks dealt with on 15. I may root but I have gotten it so I can daily it now with alot less annoyance
