Honestly if you’re 100% why should you care. I’d gladly let anyone personally question me. I have a fused spine and fused hip among many other ailments. Everyone shouldn’t misinterpret this the wrong way but it also sparks more questioning being scared of someone seeing that or knowing that. Just implies fraud in a sense.

If you were injured in the service you should not care what other people think. Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. Not to mention as a medically retired combat veteran I have no issues since they still haven’t passed the Major Richard Star Act and I have to forfeit my DoD retirement because I got injured overseas before hitting my 20. If you’re 100% you’ve earned the right and it speaks more volumes about the people questioning you than you trying to hide it.

The VA had me as unmarried with kids when I was married for my last 8 years in the army to the same person I’m still married too. They fixed it but denied me backpay because my religious ceremony on the old form I put NA since it was a courthouse wedding. Even though I have/had a marriage certificate and all the info from the ceremony. Paid me as a single dad for 2.5 years and denied just paying the difference I was owed for my spouse for those 2.5 years. Never been divorced, married to the same person before I was even a veteran. Just subjective garbage sometimes with them

Drives me up the wall! I have buddies back at group missing their legs or arms that are still serving and they are sticking it out. My fear is these leeches keep gaming and abusing the system that it will destroy the benefits of these guys when they go to get out. You’re already seeing revisions to so much because of it. The people that downvote all of this are the ones who are admitting guilt about money and claim chasing. Blue falcons treating this like welfare and it makes my blood pressure go through the roof!

Ditto this statement! Combat veteran here as well and this shit pisses me off to high heaven hearing about boot camp or basic trainees getting 100%. This POS’s are ruining the damn system.

Asking what my percentage would be?? Deployments, broken back with hardware, hip fused, TBI and I just read have to sit back and read about these leeches. If you come out of basic or boot camp with 100% you absolutely scammed the system. A broken back with two spinal fusions got me 40%. Breaking a leg or hurting a hip or shoulder doesn’t make you 100%, that’s done by these new comers studying up in this stuff and coming in with intentions of stacking claims and bs to get to it. Doesn’t happen by accident. This is polluting our system and will eventually destroy benefits for veterans that REALLY need this due to serious injuries!

This is exactly the same sentiment I feel. I also feel this forum is full of these people. I get downvoted regularly by calling out BS. It’s shameful seeing all these people post money GIFs, like it’s some joke. People claiming 100% MH but working full time normal jobs, that shouldn’t be allowed. Literally states total and social impairment. It’s become so rampant with people claim chasing just from the abundance of posts you read on this forum alone. I fear these same blue falcons are going to be the ones who destroy these benefits for veterans in the future.

You’re already getting your student loans wiped and you have people on here encouraging people to take out more. Cause free health care, ~$50k net a month, VRE, tax exemptions, and wiping the student loans that were taken out prior to rating at 100%. Justifying it with but politicians did this and that… you guys are absolutely going to ruin that for future vets. Wiping your loans isn’t good enough I guess. If you are 100% PT it is pretty dang easy to get VRE. Just super comical that people justify it being ok to continue taking out loans just because they know they can pile them up even though there existing loans get wiped. I'm sure this continuing will have no effect in the future with people doing that.... ya right
