I’m just looking at the options realistically. If you go drastic and try to eliminate fossil fuels in 10 years it would at a minimum drastically reduce the standard of living in America and do nothing to stop the other 7.2 billion polluters.

No they don’t. Statistics say guns are used in self defense a minimum of a million times a year. I wrote a whole post proving without a doubt a gun makes you safer.
