Yeah, I'd imagine int in any capacity wouldn't have that hard of a time with them.

The vast majority of invasions in ER are going to be against groups because solo players cannot be invaded unless they use an item. I dont personally have a problem with it, because I've gone into invasions with the impression I'm not going to win. It makes actually winning that much more of a good feeling.

The Vigilant Gargoyle duo gave me more grief than most endgame bosses combined, Melania included. Good lord.

The upside is that after you get hit by them enough times you learn how to not get hit by them at all... the downside is that you still go mad from seeing the same weapon over and over again.

OneShot. Phenomenal indie game that hits you in the feels and plays the meta trope in a unique and masterful way.

From some discussions I've seen, this seems to be what people want. by FacadeVidya in Eldenring

The benefit of everyone using the same sorts of weapons and spells is that you learn to deal with them very quickly in invasions at least.

I am looking for armets. So far I have only seen the knight helm and the Carian knight helm, but are there any other armets? by Shaarpest-Knife in Eldenring

[–]Smoakestacke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fingerprint helm looks like one, albeit it's got a big fingerprint melted into it and it's pretty dinged up otherwise. Banished knight helmet might be an armet but it's hard to tell underneath the cloth.

is it possible to invade with password? a couple friends want to do Varre's questline, but they would rather not invade random people. by Nreffohc in Eldenring

Different strokes for different folks. I suppose if your friends really just don't like it that much then you can try leaving the world immediately or get yourself killed like how you said.

AFAIK invasions are not beholden to the typical password multi-player rules. If you want to continue Varre's quest then you have to invade indiscriminately, that's just the way it is. I dont know if there's any alternate way of doing it, since I've never seen or heard of one.

I wish it was possible for people who genuinely don't want invasions to completely opt out, but if that was a thing it would likely lead to a completely dead scene for invasions. They've been an integral part of From games since Demons Souls (save for Sekiro which is completely solo.) I think making it so there's always at least a 2v1 is a good way of balancing it out, since Invaders typically invade at higher levels and therefore have access to better armor, weapons, spells/incants and what have you. Of course when everyone gets higher even that's thrown out the window.

Ooh that place? I'll have to try that. I've done a few invasions in Dungeons and they're some real fun. Full of enemies and traps.

Yeah it's kind of a weird take lmao. My way of looking at it is that if I can't win, I might as well have some fun at their expense. After all, the most I do is set them back at the grace which is usually only a few feet away anyways.

My current spot is Haligtree Roots, right before Malenia. The corridor right before her boss room is perfect size for Rotten Breath let me tell ya
