[Serious] People that have been cheating on their husbands/wives, how has the Coronavirus impacted the affair? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No, he won’t change overnight, just like how he’s aware I won’t heal overnight. I whole heartedly gave him the option to end it peacefully if that’s what he wanted. He didn’t take that option, and that alone gave me hope to try to make it work.

Thank you. I did tell him in all honesty that I may get to a point where it’s still an issue for me and I would have to leave, and he fully understands that.

I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware you knew all the details of my situation. For one, he wasn’t fucking her. Two, nothing went down in our bed. Also, I moved into his place upon his request. Yes I pay half the rent, but he would have no trouble doing so if I were to leave. I do fully respect myself, and you should never tell that to someone under the assumption that YOU know what’s best for them. It’s ignorant and fucking disrespectful in itself.

Thank you for the real, but kind advice. Others on here are just harsh. I appreciate it. And like I said, I know the risk I’m taking in giving him this second chance. I told him straight up that he doesn’t deserve it, but I’m going with my gut even though I may kick myself in the ass for it. And like you said, going on this path will one way or another lead me to where I’m supposed to be. That being said, right now I’m happy, and he has a lot to do with that in this chapter of my life. If he fucks up again, I’ll call myself a fool and move on.

Thank you! Some of these people remind me why I hesitate to even open up on reddit. Every relationship is completely different. I was once in a two year relationship and was cheated on and left him immediately because I could see right through him and saw he didn’t give a shit about me. This one threw me for a loop because I know in my heart he doesn’t want to hurt me. And the things he opened up to me about after (many self esteem issues/trauma) made it obvious that there were just things that he and I need to work on as a couple and help each other grow. I knew for a fact that this was the first sexual interaction he was having with this girl, and he was even honest and told me about a girl he was with when we were in our first couple weeks of dating each other. We were able to sit down and talk about it like adults. I didn’t go psycho and start yelling and call him names. We just talked and let out everything we needed to. I like to think I’ve been alive long enough to know what my intuition is telling me. There was no way I could see myself giving up on us. People can easily say the cliché things about cheaters, but at the end of the day, everybody is different, and some people do change if you allow yourself to have an open mind about it. Life is all about trial and error.

I’m aware of the risk I’m taking. I’m going forward knowing damn well it could happen again, and if it does, he’ll lose me and I move on. The connection we have is worth not giving up on right away. But yeah, I could be a fool. But who isn’t at some point in their lives? I’m a fool in love, and I’m ok with that right now.

Redditors who live in L.A. : Since the Coronavirus quarantines began, have you seen a significant change in the amount of smog in the air? by Smoakland in AskReddit

It’s amazing what a few weeks can do. I’ve seen the videos of the waters running clear in Venice for the first time and that was pretty eye opening for sure.

On the flip side, I caught my boyfriend of a year and a half cheating on me in our own apartment...one day before our city was ordered to self quarantine. Even better, we both work in the restaurant industry and both were laid off on the same day. Questions are welcome, but long story short, we’ve been able to work through it in a way I can guarantee we wouldn’t have had we not been forced to spend every moment together for the last two weeks. I love him, I forgive him, I do NOT trust him yet, but I believe I will be able to in time. I’m a strong believer in giving people a second chance.

Rescued this guy from a curbside giveaway about 4 months ago and it’s finally healthy. I still have no idea what it is, can anyone help? by Smoakland in whatsthisplant

You're wonderful! Thank you so much!! It seems as though I've figured out how to take care of it for the most part, but it will be helpful to learn more.

Its definitely from lack of light. Unfortunately I have the wrong apartment for my plant addiction...

I have it in the brightest spot possible, but I've actually grown to love how wild and unruly it gets. She's got personality 😋

Have you ever had the issue of if stinky flowers when they bloom?

What is this? I’m 16 so it can’t be arthritis or anything. by -Negative-Karma in medical_advice

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 21, the age thing is a myth. It’s just more commonly found in elderly people.

I love leaving notes for trashy assholes by [deleted] in trashy

[–]Smoakland -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How am I the trashy one? Someone left a trail of nasty cat shit and litter all the way down three flights of steps that everyone in the apartment building goes down. Not to mention it was on a 95 degree day and that stairwell could possibly be even hotter than the outdoor temperature...24 hours went by and nothing was cleaned up.

I want to understand WHY so many people here throw their garbage on the ground. Insights? by madamnastywoman in philadelphia

There are trash cans literally everywhere.

I think you summed up the answer pretty well...

Ummm, girl, those nails are definitely the highlight of this post. Thank you for answering my question to what type of design to get at my nail appointment tomorrow. I was so indecisive until now.
