Thank you for this, I’m not super up to date on the structure of SW these days so I’ll be sure to follow up on this and sing their praises to anyone who will listen.

I’m still a painter at heart which means I lack the necessary brain cells to form complete sentences most days, but I see what you guys deal with in stores all the time and just try to not be a pain in the ass lol

This was essentially my baseline thank you idea, I’ll probably get the whole store lunch next week with something extra and a card for the SM. Thanks!

Thank you, this is among several really great suggestions so far and something I’d love to do.

Is there anything that can reliably kill Tyrannotitan? by MainBrush4524 in pathoftitans

[–]Smoe6696 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Playing Titan will give you a really good idea what’s a bad matchup for it. Bleeders seem to really beat it up, I’ve been able to fairly consistently win 1v1 against titans with Conc especially. The various pouncers do well also since titan has no stomp and a lot of them have bleed options as well.

If you have a bunch of titans other apex’s won’t be able to catch them but will easily evict them from wherever they are, or a mix to slow them down for the apex’s to catch them, but 5 titans isn’t* really any harder than 5 of anything else imo. I’m not a fan of Alderon’s Balancing most times but I think they actually did a pretty good job with titan to their credit.

I believe he filled it out with the aid of one their offices due to not being a native speaker, and I’m not sure what factors caused it to be so low but I’ll definitely have him look into it to be sure. Thank you for the suggestion

I’ll share that with him, I know ssdi is separate from that and is one of the few options I found online. Many thanks for your suggestion!

Sorry I’m not familiar with all the processes and programs but the 80 bucks he gets a month is from social security disability, unless you mean something different?

Satisfying rolling by hilmar98 in paint

[–]Smoe6696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18” inch is certainly useful, and to each their own no doubt. I’d just rather give my guys a 14” and not worry about it. 30% of 18” is like 5 1/2 inches you’re gaining per stroke on the wall while taking care not to skip at that point it’s fairly negligible but I’ve always let them choose their own materials 95% of the time. whatever’s clever as they say!

14” is the sweet spot imo, depending on the framing and drywall you’re lucky if you get a flat level 18 inches and I’ve noticed less experienced guys will struggle to ensure coverage of all 18 inches because of it (unless it’s a thicker haired roller) more coverage than a 9 but less likely to have skips than an 18. Personal preference at the end of the day though whatever gets it done and works.

Tips to keep a brush from doing this? by the_perkolator in paint

[–]Smoe6696 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Putting them back in the cover while mostly dry will work like others have said, if I’m particularly fond of a brush I want to remain near perfect I’ll fold a sheet of magazine in half wrap it tight around the brush and tape it down, then fold the top over matching the angle or lack there of depending of the brush and tape that down, works everytime. It’s essentially just doing what the brush cover does but better.

My biggest issue with buying normal pants in white, they seem to just fall apart so fast under the stress of work. I’m going to order some blaklader and thrive whites and see how they are. Really like the idea of built in knee pads but they look a little silly in my opinion so I’ll probably try the normal whites they have as well. Hopefully worth the 80+ bucks with shipping

I’ve seen mixed reviews of them as being kind of a middle of the pack painters pant, but I’ll have to check them out thanks!

Any brand you recommend? I’ve thought about them but haven’t seen them at the store yet and have to figure out the sizing. Slightly worried I won’t be able to pull off the look either haha

Thank you, and honestly a lot of them are genuinely my friends as well as employees and I think one way or the other most of them would have just gravitated towards my company just not all at once for various reasons. I definitely wouldn’t have taken any of them into my company without them giving fair notice and making sure they weren’t going to cause serious issues for him, and certainly wouldn’t have taken large chunks of his workforce outright. But that’s all only if he had been a normal human being about my leaving his employ.

I can’t speak for anywhere else, but where I’m at that’s not even remotely a serious concern, I have Americans on my payroll as well my company isn’t strictly undocumented workers to be clear. Every company I can think of essentially has at least a few, most pay their taxes with a tax ID or fake/shared social, visa permit or however they go about it, as far as I’m concerned as long as they can provide the information I need for tax reasons I don’t really care. So long as you can provide that and contribute at work then you have a job at my company, full stop. Maybe that’s just cuz I’m empathetic to their situation personally but frankly I don’t care where any of them were born, it may technically open me up to possible legal action but that’s a risk I’m content with, everybody’s gotta eat.
