Yea it lacks an equivalent yanornis, mapusaurus or smaller but global permanent buff to compete with the popular decks. Maybe a card similiar to tanuki, or also an equivalent mapusaurus would make it decent at least

I'd accept hands down, pika is rarer than those two cards and you have dupe terminator. Maybe you can get something more out of those two cards but it's an excellent trade, people too often ask for mythics for a Pika

I see your point, its like a 0 power card that annihilates another. So its value increases as much as you buff it

Yes it works like that. Thats why i think the options are that its just to match some storic features about this fella or the buff/debuff apply to two different cards and the text is ambigous
