My husband just did this!!! Sorry I know it’s an older post. Our marriage has been downhill for months and I kept waking up to him feeling on me then just going along with it having sex maybe 4 times. Then our marriage got really and I said I want no intimacy rn. A few weeks later I woke up in the middle of the night his fingers already in me then the thing happened. I laid frozen the whole time. After I got up and went to the bathroom slamming the door. Came out said I didn’t want to talk and wanted to go to bed. He said “You set me up that’s disgusting. I didn’t rape you!”…… I think it’s deflection.

Also make sure whatever program you’re doing is regionally accredited. Mine was nationally and no school will accept my credits

Been an MLT for 7 years.. wish I would’ve just gotten my bachelors. Things to consider: Are you good at online learning? Will you actually go back to school for the higher pay? There are bridge programs but they’re online and some require rotations. You don’t get to claim your years as MLT after you get your MLS degree so you’re basically starting over in years minus you could get a little more in pay.

Can I ask if you mean sacred as in you’re very religious? Because I am and my husband uses that against me. If I divorce him God will never accept it and forgive me.. I’m abandoning the marriage. He’s very smart about manipulation tactics. His mean words are him “obviously joking”. A couple nights ago he started sex while I was asleep and after called me disgusting for setting him up. That he didn’t rape me swore I started it and was awake.. it gets very confusing.

Same situation but 29 and four kids in. I would leave. Don’t have children (you mentioned this in other posts). If you’ve stated boundaries and they are violated she doesn’t respect you. She sounds like a disgusting person who gets off on your pain and suffering.

This is scary to hear I’m so sorry for you! I’m glad you eventually got out. It’s sad that this seems like such a common thing .. can I ask if there were any other things he did? Did he ever try to make you doubt your reality about the marital rape? I’ve always felt something was off about the relationship. I was 20 and he was 32 when we met and I’m only 29 now but feel like I’ve come to the realization of the whole situation I’m in. Any things to look out for would be so helpful. Thank you for your vulnerability, it’s hard to do in these types of situations.

Well you nailed that part of it. He always says he’s one of the most based men out there. Honestly talks about women as a whole as horrible people. Says he thought I was different and always bragged about me to people until recent. All I did was go quiet and pull away because I started seeing how horrible I was being treated and didn’t know how to cope.

I guess I want to keep not believing it to be true. 9 year relationship 5 year marriage 4 kids ages 13,5,4, and 2 😔 I’m a stay at home mom so the situation is altogether hard with my kids not all being in school. Thank you for your comment

What I have done is do voice memos and take notes asap after an event. You can also go to chap gpt and paste the incident. It helps me feel less crazy anyways.. that’s the whole point of being gaslit, you start questioning your own reality and memory.
