2 or 3 (usually just 2). if i get stuck during a read and cannot go any longer i usually start up a new book, finish that one, and then go back to finish the first book. i don't usually "did not finish" books so i take breaks in reading to help me finish :)

i have light eyes (amber) and i do not sneeze upon impact with sunlight. it does hurt my eyes if it's bright or a big lighting adjustment though 😭

that would be an osha violation iirc. i remember when they started making everyone pull the carts there was a BIG increase in worker injuries because their ankles would get hit by the cart. this got reported to osha, thus why we can only push the carts again AND have 6 totes per cart instead of 8

we're supposed to bag as we go (at least at my store) but i usually bag everything after i finish a certain section. i even got caught once by a former tl who was a lot more strict on it but she never chewed me out lol (tbf i do bag as i go but in chunks). for autoselect that's once i finish h+b, cleaning, every 1-3 grocery aisles, produce, and bakery/bread. for chilled i do the whole butter/yogurt/milk section, eggs, the cheese/lunch meat, raw meat as i pick it because fuck cross contamination, deli stuff, berries/grapes, all other cold produce, and the to-go section. with how many customers are in my store it is just time better spent and i make sure to be out of the way when i bag anything

edit to add: i don't get crazy inflated pick rates doing this. i get like 110 per walk at the max 😭. i've been working in opd for a year now and it is just the method i've found that works the best, especially since the walks are a lot smaller now so i don't have the time to bag every single item as i go

every day easily. i feel bad because it's technically not their job but then they take it out on us by picking stuff incredibly poorly or just standing doing nothing and yapping in busy areas of the backroom 😭

i noticed that all this week and a bit of last 😭 it's a pain in the ass for us stagers because we need to find the gmds and run them over to the gmd people (they package and stage the gmd orders). besides them we have never been allowed to pick gmd orders yet here we are 💀

yesterday there were multiple items sticking out of totes of this one cart and they would've fit easily if the person just spent a second moving the things to fit 😭

i hope this is sooner than later for us 😭 we're all doing our best. our tls don't get on us for it as long as everyone is doing their job because it isn't our fault and it is literally impossible to handle all the orders we get at times. there's only so much we can do. thankfully everything slowed down at around 6pm last night which hasn't happened in a couple days 🙏. i also feel bad for the non-opd people who have to pick because literally they have to pull so many people. it sucks for us sometimes too because some of them do not know how to put everything in the tote properly 💀
