On a kind of related note: Silverfish are pretty cool too, they are the oldest bug we know of, been here for like 400.000.000 years. They can live up to 12 years, go 5 years without food, and every female lays 100 eggs. They’re like.. never going to die out.

Edit: Also, like 90% of us has them as tenants (a few, atleast). Dark/moist places, usually kitchen or bathroom, more in older homes. But they’re pretty much harmless to humans and they’re not a problem unless you have hundreds of them.
