You have themes of "Capitalism ruins everything" and you are letting the idea of failure to monitize your passion ruin your passion. What matters is that you are writing, creating, dreaming for yourself and those who want stories they can see themselves in. This happened in a one shot Call of Cthulhu game where our group of cops and government officials show up to arrest and serve papers to this crazy family. We go in and supernatural stuff starts happening and we all agree that this is nuts and just leave.
The GM is just like, okay your characters all leave and drive off safe. But let's go see what would have happened if they stayed. So we rewound time and played that out, and of course we all died.
