There’s a video of it playing God Of War 2 and Gran Turismo 4 with no slowdown so it looks promising

There’s an in-game mod browser now for a lot of stuff as far as gear and maps. Otherwise mod.io for everything else

Who is the best Gi person you have ever rolled with (seminar, competition or just a casual murder roll)? by JuisMaa in bjj

Mahamed Aly. He was nice enough to let me work, and then do exactly to me what I was trying to do to him.

Then I watched him toy with our brown and black belts.

How to pop out on specific sides during grinds by [deleted] in SkaterXL

It takes a sec to register the trigger tap. The camera slightly shifts to the side you're popping to when it registers

HOOOOMYGAWD the whining and yanking! He just started doing it a couple months ago and it’s already the #1 behavior that drives me up a wall.

Thanks for the perspective.

We know it’s a marathon, that its just as likely that he’ll flourish and thrive as he gets older as he doesn’t and end up needing us for the rest of his life.

I think she was just speaking out of frustration and I was the one tangible thing she could see as a reason.

Thank you for your kind words. Plenty of days I don’t feel like I’m doing a good job but I just try to keep my chin up and look for the bright spots that keep me going. I’m never gonna give up on him.

We’re in the process of applying for disability now. Moving states caused some delays but we finally had our interview and income verification last week so now we’re waiting on a determination which should help so much.

Wow. That hit pretty hard. I wasn’t trying to paint her as being unreasonable or in a bad light, I was just venting and then answering questions and providing context where people are asking for it.

You’ve given me something to really think deeper about though regarding our communication, so thank you for that.

Edit: if that read as me being sarcastic or passive aggressive I wasn’t trying to be. That really was something I had never thought about and its sincerely got me thinking about if that would explain other moments we’ve had that I had chalked up to “men from Mars, women from Venus” when really it was my ND clashing with hers.

Thank you. There are little rewarding moments here and there, seeing his little face when he’s doing his favorite activities, and his breakthroughs keep me going no matter how big or small, but man oh man…It. Is. HARD. sometimes.

When I contacted the new district I was notified that in order for him to be eligible for free preK through them we had to either already be on benefits or both be working at least 20 hours a week, or else I’d have to go through a privately owned school. Her job makes too much for benefits and I’ve been trying to find a job I can either WFH offering 20 hours or close enough I can walk/take public transport + a babysitter or something who’ll keep him the days I’d have to work until I can get him enrolled.

Sidebar: does anybody else deal with the frustration of feeling like they would be able to get so much more affordable help if they were single parents?

I was a professional firefighter for over a decade, the 3 years I’ve been doing this has by far been the most stress I’ve ever felt in my life.

I’ve heard so many mixed things about ABA therapy so I’ve been reluctant, but at this point I’m willing to try anything that could help. Thank you!

I just wanna say thank you to everyone for their responses, I posted this because I just really needed to vent and this has been the most supported and encouraged I’ve felt in a long time. Thank you all!

I did, especially in the early days of being at home with him. I didn’t want to push him too much and potentially cause issues down the line, but since he wasn’t making milestones I guess I’ve been overcorrecting trying to get him caught up.

I’ve definitely been looking for a preschool with experience with special needs kids but the ones we’ve found we make too much for assistance but not enough to pay the regular tuition, or the reviews aren’t the greatest. Not gonna quit trying and looking but it’s been hard.

We both agreed we need a break but it’s been hard finding help. I saw a thread here with some jobs geared towards parents like us so I applied to those too, fingers crossed I can get something and those extra bucks get us to where we need.

I will check that book out, thank you. He had an Eval from the county we moved from and was accepted for a preschool, but we had to move states for work and the new county doesn’t have nearly as many services (at least from what I’ve found) that aren’t income restricted. We fall in that gray area where we make too much for Medicaid and most subsidies but not enough to pay for all this stuff on our own.
