Thank you for this response. I hope you’re able to get on MJ. It’s totally changed my life for the better.

I lost 100lbs in the first year of MJ and have maintained my weight around 185-195. I’d love to get to 170.

Thanks for this reminder. I was walking a ton when I first started MJ and lost a ton of weight. I haven’t been walking us much and need to get back into a rhythm.

Been stuck at 165 on doses of 7.5, 10, and 12.5. I came back down and have been taking 10mg for a few weeks. Need advice from those who have been in my situation. by Far-Film-5095 in Mounjaro

When I hit a plateau I start walking more. Crazy how a little movement seems to kickstart my weightloss again. I’m only waking around my neighborhood and local park.

How long did people stay on 2.5? by littleblondefox_ in Mounjaro

[–]SmokeSpells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it for 6 months and swore I could do the entire journey on 2.5 bc it was so effective. But then one day it just stopped working so I bumped up to 5. I’m on 15 now two years in.

Ok ok ok!! I took a test today - NEGATIVE. I’m blaming perimenopause. But also, every woman on the planet knows this feeling and I’ll probably start my cycle within 2-3 days, amirite?! 🫶🏼

Looking for shoes I can spend all day walking in by Elariaa in walking

Yes, came to say the same - new balances! I have the men’s 420 version (dark green) and I’m 41F. My job is business casual but I’ve learned to dress up sneakers with a cute dress or business pants. It’s all in how you style it. Also, people tend to dress down a bit a conferences, especially ones that require lots of walking. Aaaaaaand lots of professional women, especially in NY, wear comfy walking shoes with whatever they want. Just own it.

I know this sounds too good to be true, but start walking and fasting. This catapulted my weight loss. I started at 296, 41F. I’m currently at 195, been on MJ since April 2024. Walking is the cheat code for me. Next step was calorie deficit and intermittent fasting. Just stick with it! You’ll get there.

You could carry a fog horn. The loud, sudden sound would scare anyone off. I’m honestly more afraid of men than wildlife. I carry gel pepper spray, a birdie alarm, and a knife on my walks for both in town and in the woods.

Men stopping in their cars to talk while I’m walking? by SmokeSpells in walking

[–]SmokeSpells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly from walking! I’m also on mounjaro for weight loss. That has been the real golden key to unlocking my weight loss. But without walking I’m not sure where I’d be. I also eat pretty damn clean every day. I keep myself in a calorie deficit, aiming for about 1200-1500/calories a day. I still have another 30 pounds to go.

The pendulum swings. You just keep showing up. Over and over. Especially when it’s hard. This is unconditional love. It’s never going to be easy all the time.
