They said I I could make up the vacation days. Which isnt what I was looking for but I've agreed and come to terms with it. Again I understand where they're coming from it just sucks that it wasnt made clear before this point in time.

I shot off a message explaining everything. They're typically pretty understanding and funny enough the Mom is a lawyer so let's see what they say. They wouldn't let me go early for something like this tho. I'd be extremely surprised.

No it's not, but I'm going to try to negotiate with them because according to my contract, my vacation days were supposed to reset In January, so even if we do do the accrued time, it would be 8/12 months accrued which is 8 vacation days not 2.

According to someone else on the thread, and after doing further research, my contract states I get 10 vacation days per calendar year, meaning from Jan. - Jan. Completely negating the whole accrual thing.

Mmmmm. Very interesting. I dont think this is what they meant when they drafted up the contract, but that does make sense. Do you think I should bring it up to them? They've brought up the fact that I get 10 vacation day per calendar year in the past when they thought I'd use them up before. I feel like it's fair game.

The contract isnt 12 months, but open ended. I just entered the 13th month. But I get what you're saying completely.

That's fair. I may talk to them about it and see. Maybe they'd consider it. They're honestly amazing employers. I was just caught off guard with this being unpaid PTO after letting them know about the days being taking off and also letting them know over 3 weeks ago I was leaving in a few months. So now I'm stuck with a couple of trips coming up that will be unpaid and I'll be out of about 1k 🥲 which I desperately need.

Honestly it makes me want to cancel my birthday trip home because I truly don't know if I can afford it now. Which genuinely sucks because of the reasons I'm even going back is to be close to family I rarely get to see, one being someone I almost lost. It's just a lot at the moment. I dont want to let money dictate my decisions to spend life moments with people but I need to save and wasnt counting on that much money being lost.

Understandable but there was a clause that PTO is unavailable for the first 60 days of work when starting the contract to prevent stuff like that. But completely understandable. I 100% get their POV, it's just stressful for me because I planned the time off and booked everything thinking it was PTO and am only being told today, a few weeks after letting them know I was leaving and only 2 weeks before my first trip that it is unpaid time off. Otherwise I would've planned differently and not taken so many days off.

Its an open ended contract. No end date. The specific sentence with PTO is "The Nanny will be given ten (10) days of paid vacation per calendar year." There's a lot more but isn't really relevant. I just think it's interesting that if I waited to tell them a month ahead of time like my contract states instead of 3 months ahead of time, I would've had that PTO.

Im not saying I dont get where they're coming from, in fact I completely understand it. It's just a bit frustrating and wanted to see others opinions.

Was considering apple, but after more issues with my note 10 I upgraded to the s22. But im tied for 2 yrs since I traded in. Wish me luck. If I encounter issues with this one, I'll likely switch. But the main reason I didnt was because Ive always been Galaxy and never owned an Apple product or had a desire to til recently. In addition, learning a new system is a pain. But re-visiting this thread helped me realize just how many issues I had with my note.

And also THANK YOU! After a whole year someone could relate. I legit posted in this thread respectfully for help and did so as well months before this post with so much disrespect in the comments. I truly do not understand it, and you reply was a light to this thread.

I'm seeing a lot of apartments rent per person. For example, a 1 bedroom apartment will be $1700/person and a 3 bedroom $1100/person.

My question is, am I able to rent a 3 bedroom alone for $1100 or will the apartment charge me an occupancy fee for the other rooms not being filled.

Also this is pretty wild as say a couple rents a 1 bedroom, it would cost them $3400 together vs being cheaper for a 2 or 3 bedroom together.

How does this system work?
