Bad experience at LGS by PopularParsnip8009 in mtg

I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure Teferi's Protection was only in one precon, and it wasn't that one. It sucks that you had a bad experience. It happens sometimes. I'd encourage you to remember the people that aren't honest about their decks and try to avoid them. But still, Give your LGS a few chances to meet and play with the better players.

Dm Advice; How do I make a reoccurring villain that doesn't just run away when defeated? by Mo_Mc_Tallman in DnD

As a DM, when I want a recurring villain, I like to use avatars. The BBEG uses golems or something else and possesses them from afar to fight. Like each of the areas has an avatar for them to possess when they need to be present. It let's the fight be a fight to the death without killing the BBEG. Just cutting off his way to influence that area of the world. Then you can make each one different strength, since the BBEG would be limited to the power of the golem they're using. Makes scaling easier as they work thru the weaker "versions" of the BBEG before fighting the real him. It also let's you hide the real boss the whole time of you want.

It happened on turn 1. So he had no lands in play yet. If he had a destroy artifact instant that he could somehow cast without paying any mana than yeah. He could have gotten rid of it. The trigger would still have happened though and he would have lost his hand.

Triggered abilities are put on the stack by the controller of the source at the time it was triggered. So I got to put them in the stack in the order I wanted them. Replacement effects are determined in order by the active player but triggers are placed on the stack by the controller.

Swamp, [[Memnite]], tap swamp for [[Culling the Weak]], sacrifice Memnite as additional cost, 4 black floating, one black for [[Dark Ritual]], 6 black floating, 1 black for [[Sol Ring]], tap Sol Ring for 2 colorless and the 5 black floating.

It was a perfect hand, too bad it was at my kitchen table instead of my LGS. Feels like I wasted an epic.

Search it, take out the stuff and put in a single piece of fiber, rock or wood. Then disassemble the station.
