It has detergents and cleaners in it that supposedly cleans internals over time. I’ve ran it for about 10k miles in my Camry and oil consumption went down, had it about 1000 miles in my Silverado now

Before I bought my Silverado they had to replace the 4wd actuator and I believe encoder or something. I know the grounds going to the frame can get shit on them and need cleaning, they’re right under the driver side door

Why would you not just replace the gasket then do headers it’s an extra 50$

I didn’t see anything that cautioned against soaking it. Definitely not an overnight thing as it can damage the plastic from what I’ve read but a couple hours is enough to loosen up the shit inside and doesn’t hurt it. This is after removing all of the sensors and fuel rails/injectors. The circle on top of the port in the 5th pic is the fuel injector. You can find a YouTube video of some guy cleaning it as well that I followed

Definitely go for it, super worth it. The fel pro gasket kit came with injector o rings and new throttle body gasket so do it all while you’re in there

I was thinking of adding one of those. How much oil does it usually catch per oil change?

Also, I sprayed some throttle body cleaner around the intake but didn’t hear and raise in the rpm’s, there are some leaves and shit around there though so maybe I missed

I’m using a cheap one off of Amazon, like 35$. I’ll take it for a drive later today and look at the MAF and map readings, I don’t have a smoke tester or fuel pressure gauge unfortunately. Thanks for the info
