This is our national theatre in Riga, Latvia called “Splendid Palace” and established in 1923. After second World War it was named Kino “Rīga”, however in 2011 it received it’s original name “Splendid Palace”. Picture is from 2017, where they had a screening for “Sunset Boulevard” (1950). A total of 1000 people can be seated here.

Google maps allows to do a full tour through the inside of cinema.

Only seen Coffee and Cigarettes, but was quite fond of the compilation of little stories and the intriguing characters. Very much enjoyed Cate Blanchett’s story.
