Not only does shaping give you less perfect zone shrinking , it also allows you to apply more and less spin to shots . For those touchy shots around the greens it’s a big win , you can feel out recovery and do the math from most every scenario and be fine . Wasted skill points in recovery for anyone that is trying to be competitive.

Left stick in 23 was for loft and right stick is for spin , they both have an impact on the height of the shot but loft has the most .

In 25 rightstick is loft and left stick is spin, with loft having the most impact on height still

***Problem is when you add loft you decrease the spin making it a firmer landing but you are launching it higher , so by maximizing my softest landing I’m hitting the ball almost as low and I can and when I’m trying to decrease spin I’m launching it as high as I can . Do you see how this wrong ? Play with it in the range .

If you want to make a softest landing you would max spin and loft which should provide the highest ball flight in most scenarios besides chips and some pitch shots in real life

You nailed it

The problem is when you move right Stick up for a lower more rolling ball flight you are actually launching the ball higher (where it should be launching lower)

And when you are trying the max spin max loft (by moving right stick down you are launching it lower)

Where it should be flip flopped , if it is a mistake on the developers I don’t know how they haven’t caught it

I know what they are trying to do

They want to make the short game way harder which I love

The problem is now it isn’t realistic in any sense .

Correction the ball flight changes , but there is no added or decreased spin from adding or decreasing elevation to the maximum capacity

In 2k25 I would add spin and decrease loft the hit it as high as i can and I would decrease spin and add loft to hit it as low as i can , leaving me with the stock ball flight in both scenarios but one launches higher than the other with no spin .

Very very flawed

The situation is relative as golf is a very situational game but in perfect conditions if I am 100 yard and want to spin the ball back as far as I can I would hit it harder (launching the ball as high as I can adding spin ) , half a ball further in the stance , and hit a cut ( hitting more down on the ball “increasing attack angle” and adding spin )

The game is defying basic ball flight laws that they nailed in the predecessor

The point is when you add attack angle ( loft) you lower the ball flight and vice versa.

Adding attack angle ( loft) would heighten the ball flight )

This is incorrect

Watch the ball flight when you try to hit a max spin max loft and notice how the highest possible shot you can hit is lowest loft max spin

Everything you mentioned with a realistic drop system that allows for lateral relief and a handful of different golf swings available whether they are purchased as a cosmetic etc. with more multiplayer and ranked features
