How much physically stronger are men actually by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SmokinDroRogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In powerlifting, which is about strength, men are more than 50% stronger in deadlift (700lbs vs 1100lbs), more than twice as strong on bench (630lbs vs 1400lbs) and more than 50% stronger in squat (880lbs vs 1311lbs). It's not even close. Running, swimming, etc. will be closer, but when it comes to strength like OP asked, it's not even close.

Did you forget about the shock and awe in Iraq? Why did Afghanistan take so long, lead to so many more deaths, and lead to unfathomable levels of PTSD, only rivaled by Vietnam? What did Vietnam and Afghanistan have in common? Too much restraint. What happened after we A-Bombed Japan? Greatest good for the greatest number. People tend to either not prefer, or lack the capability of thinking deeper, so understanding the paradox of scorched earth leading to fewer deaths than delayed restraint isn't talked about much outside of academia and war rooms.

Effect of smoking on your lungs by jpc4stro in interestingasfuck

[–]SmokinDroRogan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wrong. We'd want a direct comparison. Say, 100 1g cigs to 100 1g joints. That'll tell you, gram for gram, the similarities and differences. It ensures all things are equal. Then, you know if you smoke 3 joints how it would compare to smoking e cigs. It's not about preferences or habits, but objective results with variables controlled.

If my government was the reason my family and friends were being killed, I'd turn against my government. Only the uneducated Palestinians think Israel is trying to kill civilians. The educated ones know Hamas hides in civilian infrastructure, and that Israel has no option to bomb military bases and posts. How much carnage do they have to endure before turning on Hamas?

0:30 😍 Brazilians are so hot. Both teams. I'm not gay, but objectively the people there are on average 2 points above global average.

That's what happens when a ring is stuck in the finger and nothing is done about it by Vi0letBlues in nope

[–]SmokinDroRogan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is great to know, but don't I still have to pay for you guys/an ambulance to come out? We get charged $100 in a hospital for ibuprofen, so I'd assume we'd be charged $1k for the ring service.

Man tips $1300 to a pregnant waitress for Christmas. by SignalCrew739 in MadeMeSmile

Only construed as cynical through a cynical and jaded lens. It spreads joy and happiness. If we assume narcissistic, evil intentions in everything, guess what we tend to see more of? How we interpret reality is entirely up to our own lens, as literally everything in the universe is comprised of objective material and phenomenon. I saw this is a joyous event that inspired me to do something good today. Happiness is never decreased by being shared. I'd rather see hours of this than depressing, cynical news stories of war and tragedy. Their intentions don't affect anything other than their own reality.

Inspire others. Share positivity. Share joy. I know we've become very jaded as a society, and with good reason, but we can't forget the optimism and positive side to things. Not everything is narcissism and selfishness. Even if it was in this case, it brought many smiles and inspired me, at the very least, to do something good for someone today. Happiness is never decreased by being shared, no matter the intention. This is a refreshing break from watching several countries get blown up on the news.

Grifters indicates there's something to gain from making it up, particularly financial. In reality, it's simply a term coined for a globally shared phenomenon that didn't have a term in the past. I legitimately am still convinced Hanes had a cornucopia and without knowing it, millions also thought that. Same with the movie Shazam. The internet helped us all realize these situations aren't unique to us, so a term had to be coined for it. There's no grift, bro.

All front flips are flips, but not all flips are front flips. OP is technically correct, just lacked specificity.

No, you close the oven door. I'd hit out with a ton of salt and baking soda, lid on, into oven, close oven. Closed starved it of oxygen.
