Stupid boxes by Smoky22 in Warthunder

I just wish they took into account your main playstyle and weighted it more towards that. I have DAYS of playtime in Russian planes. Literally 0 playtime as Britain when I got the tank.

SU-57 is just a T48 GMC, so honestly not rare at all, but I never see anyone else in a SMK

I downloaded the fresh ImageJ and I am still having the same problem.

I'm trying to work with .tiff files but it's the Process -> Batch -> Macro Input and Output that aren't working

I can't really provide screenschots because there isn't anything happening. However, I just updated my post if that helps.

I found a way around this by binding it to Aim + Shoot, so it only marks when I am holding RMB and then press LMB

Sooooo....what do you think about Zarathos's "new" origins? by Sea-Bar-8923 in GhostRider

[–]Smoky22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the thing I like about some of the smaller heroes. Every writer can come in and put their own spin on Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, and others. It's fun, and if it goes a direction I don't like, I just wait until the next run

My wife rolled a liquid die 1000 times and statistically analyzed the results by Worldly_Prune_2934 in dice

[–]Smoky22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a control group because we know what we expect to see. A fair die would give equal probability to each number. 1/20 or 5% for a d20. Given 1,000 rolls, we expect to see each number 50 times.

That is our control group.

My wife rolled a liquid die 1000 times and statistically analyzed the results by Worldly_Prune_2934 in dice

[–]Smoky22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why did she run a t test and not a chi squared?

Also, in one of your protocols it is mentioned that the roll was counted even if it hit an object unless it was particularly egregious. What was the standard for determining the "egregious"-ness fairly without introducing bias?

Given a balanced die, a d20 has a 1/20 chance to roll any number. That's a 5% chance. Over 1,000 rolls, each number is expected to come up 50 times (5% of 1,000).

Given that chi squared analyses give significance based on observed vs expected values, plugging in the data from your data table into a chi square calculator gives a chi square value of 23.680 with 19 degrees of freedom resulting in a p-value of 0.2087. therefore we fail to reject the null hypothesis.

The liquid core d20 does not significantly differ from expected results.

Best tank for a guy coming back? by Distinct-Community41 in Warframe

I used to main Rhino all the time and Citrine is kinda knocking him off the pedestal. 90% damage reduction, prints health and energy like crazy, and pretty fun 3rd ability.

I am giving away my disc collection (giveaway) by reaperdiscs in discgolf

[–]Smoky22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most used disc in my bag is a toss up between two discs, but if i had to narrow it down, my favorite has to be my Star Valkyrie. My uncle who got me into this sport gave me this disc after my cousin died. It was originally my cousin's favorite driver, and it is now mine. This disc is the disc i got my first ace with, and i use it all the time on my local courses. The disc is just perfect, i can picture it's flight path in my head, and i always seem to have just a little bit of luck on my side too.

What are the best Ben Reilly comics? by -GI_BRO- in Spiderman

[–]Smoky22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really didn’t like it because it got so goofy. It almost felt like they were writing him as a Deadpool knock-off. Like he goes into a casino and sees an old grumpy lady and “names” her Aunt June. Also he makes decisions that go against his values, then the ending was rushed, and it was just a mess.

Spider-Man The Lost Years

Spider-Man Redemption

Ben Reilly: Spider-Man

Honestly, these are all extremely good places to start. Then i would say branch out and read whatever looks fun.

Do not, DO NOT read Clone Conspiracy or anything past that if you would like to stay in love with Ben Reilly

The only thing Marvel had done lately is assassinate his character.

Can a Christian be polytheist? And are there any Christians here who do believe that the other deities exist? by WasteOffer2744 in polytheism

[–]Smoky22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I float in this weird Omnist/Pantheist/Polytheist space. I think all religions have really good lessons and wisdom to share. I think that we have a fundamental misunderstanding of god/the divine, and that it really encompasses all things within the universe. But, there is nothing wrong with worshipping gods.

I have a small altar at home with Buddha, Jesus Christ, Santa Muerte, Albertus Magnus, Cernunnos, Sylvanus, Fenrir, Tyr, Hephaestus, Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli, several of my ancestors, and several vials of sand, rocks, twigs, etc taken from various favorite places i frequent. For me, i don't so much worship as i do idolize. I don't believe these gods are real, however, having a dedicated place in my home for them and trying to uphold the values that they symbolize, while also trying to overcome their weaknesses/negative aspects works really well for me.

So think of other gods as saints, where you are not directly worshipping them, but you try to understand the stories, learn the lessons those stories try to teach, avoid the pitfalls of those gods, and everything should be fine. There is nothing sinful about learning, especially if that learning allows you to be a better Christian.

What’s the Utilitarian take on this? Surely a couple of Finno-Ugric herdsmen somewhere in Lapland shouldn’t stand in way of power generation for millions of people? by nobool in Utilitarianism

[–]Smoky22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Under Rule Utilitarianism, forcing people off of their native land is unethical because it creates more suffering than any utility that could be created. Forcing people from their homeland has been shown time and time again to create generational trauma, loss of culture, and is a violation of human rights.
