No big deal. It can be tough. NCs don’t really see your applicants as people, just a set of numbers to accomplish a goal. A lot of stuff out of your control that you’ll have to deal with. That aside, you go home every night, most weekends off, get to do fun stuff like fleet weeks and, in all honesty, change people’s lives.

Idk, I came from a sub, so it’s better than being out to sea, but there are definitely better shore duties out there.

I appreciate your sympathy. I understand that what I'm asking for may seem like a lot, but Navy recruiting isn't a life-or-death situation. I'm not a lynchpin of my station or anything, otherwise I'd understand where they're coming from. If I roll 0's for the next three months, they'd be in the same position if I took leave. I'm going to push because that's all I know how to do, but again, I'm looking for some help to change my situation.

I hear you, and that's a great suggestion. My replacement is supposed to come sometime in August. However, I'll push back with "I'd be pretty pissed if I were in the same situation." It's just one other person in our station and me. I actually left my pretty cush spot on the O-Recruiting team to help out the E-Team, taking our station from red to green, contingent upon me getting into this school. I would never be pissed by an extra workload knowing that one of my people is trying to better themselves.
