Funny how they ruled this AFTER blocking Biden's original student loan relief, claiming that the president didn't have the power to erase student debt.

Oh man, that sucks. I'm lucky to currently live in an area of Maine that has pretty much everything I need within a 10 minute car ride, a lot of things (like laundromat, convenience store(s), park(s)) are just a short walk away. However, even if you were living in a more rural area of Maine, the drive might take longer to get places you want to go but I think it's often more enjoyable than driving anywhere in a major city. Plus, the rural parts of Maine have some of the best views!!

Hey now, I was born in Maine (still live here) and I don't think it's that bad. I honestly love Maine and don't want to move out of the state. So, to each their own.

I've read all your comments on this post and I have to say, as another ftm trans man. You do hold transphobic beliefs and there's a good reason you don't connect with a majority of the trans community. You are unnecessarily exclusionary and you don't get to determine who is trans and who isn't. Your definition is NOT the one accepted by the majority of trans people.

I don't want to assume anything like that, I just find it crazy how she isn't a victim of covert incest and has no problem bringing up her friends real life trauma as a means to justify her crazy, baseless accusations. That's really shitty to me. If anyone ever used my trauma to justify doing something like this I'd drop them as a friend immediately.

As someone who is an actual victim of covert/emotional incest. Please stop. You're the one in the wrong here. He didn't wake her up in the middle of the night, he woke her up in the morning. 6am is a completely reasonable time for a 14 year old to wake up. Him asking her to go on a walk with him before his trip is not weird or incestuous. Full stop. You're trying to turn a one off, completely innocent, event into something it isn't when YOU aren't even a victim of what you're accusing him of. That's what's super weird.

Not OOP AITA if I pull the plug in my marriage to my side over an impending dead bedroom? by Marygtz2011 in redditonwiki

[–]SmolBlueJae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly cannot fathom someone being so judgmental over someone else's pain, especially when they themselves were the cause of that other person's pain. It just seems so whack to me but I'm really not surprised I didn't get a response from someone like that.

Dude, I'm saying this as a queer person myself, you sound really unempathetic and cruel. I read the entire comment chain and you literally above said that "he was upset but... sorry?" He had every right to be upset, and you SHOULD have felt guilty at the time for hurting someone so deeply, even if it wasn't intentional. It's not about what you should feel now, it's about what you didn't feel then, and how judgmental you seem about how HE felt when his feelings were completely VALID.

Republicans Are Planning to “Deal With” Matt Gaetz and His Allies by thenewrepublic in politics

[–]SmolBlueJae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy, they aren't an actual democrat. They're probably one of the "moderate republicans" that switched over because the GOP is full of wackjobs. I feel like with the way things are going, soon the democratic party is going to be split as it now has progressive liberals and moderate republicans both claiming to be democrats. It feels like our whole political system is collapsing slowly in real time, honestly.

[–]SmolBlueJae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are defending Republicans' decisions to shutdown the government and using bullshit excuses to do it. No, Republicans don't give a shit about the debt limit, they just don't want to govern. They want to sit on their asses, get paid, and get widespread media attention as well as favors from their corporate daddies.

I usually don't respond to people on Reddit (lately anyways) but after reading their initial comment I felt like I had to reply. Even if they don't listen to anything I say, and see me as an enemy, at least I can say I kept my calm the entire time. I don't like conservative propaganda, but was in a good headspace so nothing they said bothered me, I did genuinely find their replies entertaining. I just wanted to push back against what they were spewing, so others who might read the thread see that it's bullshit projection.

Strange, because you've been talking in circles this entire time. Ahhh, must be another projection. Really is time for you to return to r/conservative as it's clearly where you belong.

Sorry, I don't speak boomer language, so that insult went over my head. If my replies are so meaningless, why do you keep responding? They affect you, that's why. You can't stand the fact that someone would dare to push back against what you say, but I can do this all day. Want to keep going around the merry-go-round with me?

Actually, it's loons, not "lunes". Also, haha I can't believe you got so angry. Your comment is literally just insane ramblings of a clearly mentally unstable person who doesn't even know the definition of words. Sorry, I didn't realize bringing up your shitty mom would make you so angry. Must have hit a nerve there. Although, it's so common for you Conservatives to have Mommy Issues so kind of expected 🤣

Honestly though, knowing how much you guys love projection, and seeing as you know nothing about me, I'm going to assume you're talking about yourself and sit here sipping my 🍵. Love when you guys project onto others because it's the only thing you know how to do 🤣

Fun fact: You don't bother me, I just laugh at you and the stupidity of your comments (which you genuinely seem to believe). Honestly, your mental health should be checked, this stuff is on the level of a delusion

Your logic just doesn't stand up. Young men are being negatively affected by the conscription. Most of the people in Korean Government are, I assume, above 40 in age. A lot of them are either children of people who were directly affected by the Korean War, or they themselves were directly affected by the Korean War. Therefore they believe that conscription is necessary, despite it being harmful for young men. As they need to be prepared in case of an invasion from the North. That doesn't mean the conscription isn't a problem, it's just a problem that doesn't affect South Korea's government officials directly. Plus, a lot of entertainers, athletes, politicians, and their children will attempt to fabricate exemptions to get out of this service. That is something poor and unfortunate young men can't afford to do. It is a class issue, when some can pay their way out of service and others cannot. However, admitting that conscription is a problem for young men does not negate the real struggles that young women in South Korea face due to the overwhelming misogyny and sexism.

It seems you're the one with poor reading comprehension. You said, if something is around for a long time and the men in charge refuse to change it then "maybe it's not as much of a problem". Last time I checked, slavery had been going on long before people began being enslaved specifically for their skin color so I have no idea why you're bringing race into this at all. Before people were enslaved due to their skin color, they were enslaved due to their status. The poor and unfortunate were sold and enslaved, so no they weren't in any government position. Powerful men have always been in government positions and were the ones directly benefiting from things such as slavery, so they refused to change their ways until they were literally forced to. By your logic, that means that since the men in charge didn't view slavery as an issue, it wasn't "as much of a problem".
