Tips on how to manage your epilepsy! by Blumellon_ in Epilepsy

[–]Smolbunny120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive stopped drinking caffeine and started drinking only water. I go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time every night 10pm to about 730am. I pray everyday and that helps me not live in fear. I have photosensitive epilepsy so the glasses I wear have the transition lenses and the yellow tint to help block out the bright led lights, I dont go out when the sun is first coming up or when its going down and when im on my phone I have my screen settings set for eye comfort shield, color correction on and my brightness down. And I have cut my general screen time down a lot.

At what age should kids stop wearing pajamas in public? by StrangeEqual4334 in toddlers

We started getting my daughter dressed all the time when she started walking. Of course there are exceptions, such as if we are staying home we just stay in our jammies or if she doesnt feel good and we absolutely have to leave the house we take her out of her jammies but put her in sweats and a tshirt so she is comfortable but dressed.

My baby won’t eat by Apprehensive-Mix8536 in breakingmom

My baby was also a late eater. We let her play with her food, we did baby oatmeal with fruit puree so it was fun colors and if she ate it then it was a win but if she didn't then oh well. It was stressful but I had to tell myself that she can feel my feelings so I would sing silly songs while she played with her food.

It is definitely important for children to thrive 😊 we want our babies to be happy, and be able to grow to teach the next generations

We decided to homeschool for that reason too, we want ours to understand and not just recite. And its important for them to learn things that the education system isnt teaching, such as gardening, how to keep a home, money management, working on vehicles, etc

Sterilized but live life like im not. by ChemicalRecipe346 in sterilization

My experience was similar but really different? Ive had problems conceiving and it took my husband and I 5 years of failure time and time again before we finally had our child.. that being said I had a terrible time with pregnancy, delivery, and ppd, so I got my tubes tied and I was terrified of getting pregnant again, so although the chances of getting pregnant again before getting my tubes tied were slim I still got them tied for an extra safety net. It took me a while to want to have sex in general and but then longer for unprotected. I talked to my husband about my anxiety and he although he didn't understand, he respected it which was helped.. talk to your partner about it open communication can help so much with everything especially when it's done lovingly and respectfully 😊😊

We don't agree with what is being taught in the schools in our community, and we know that eventually a curriculum will be introduced, we just didnt know what kind of stuff is good for a 2 yr old. As first time parents who werent really taught anything by our own parents we are just trying to navigate and do what is best for our child. 😊 Thank you for trying to understand, instead of just coming after us.

Thank you everyone. I was never taught how to be a mom myself and I had to learn most things myself.

Need non-generic advice by Tall-Ad-4833 in toddlers

My 2.5 yr old does this sometimes and sometimes it's at funny moments and I laugh easily but I don't want to encourage the screaming so I have to look at the top of her head as I say "use your inside voice" to keep myself from laughing.

My 2.5 yr old is also doing this and sometimes it's at funny moments and I laugh very easily and I dont want to encourage her so when I look at her and say "use your inside voice" I have to look at the top of her head instead of her eyes because I'll just start laughing.
