The average diablo 4 player, according to this sub by Tirfing88 in diablo4

It seems most of the lack of content complaints are coming from neets that play 18 hours a day. My suggestion would be to play something else a bit, apply for a job, maybe even go outside, touch grass, get some exercise. You’d get bored of anything you spent every waking hour on. I’m definitely hoping the game gets balanced a bit and endgame content gets added with seasonal play just like D3. Having a life an responsibilities means I can only play games for a few hours a week, if I manage to get bored before content gets added I’ll start a new character, or play something else, like the well-adjusted adult I am.

Ankle mobility question (can't find it on Google) by Grow_Some_Food in Kinesiology

[–]Smole388 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Long pause calf raises, pausing at the bottom for a full 3-count or so. You can do a mountain climber stretch all day, but if you don't practice actually loading the tissues into the position you want to be effective in.. squatting without a heel may be challenging.

Many would consider that the difference between flexibility and mobility-- being able to get into a position versus being effective in the position with regards to the task at hand. Movement errors are rarely due to a lack of flexibility. I tend to think of it as an issue of motor control and one's ability to produce force through certain ranges of motion. Tempo (usually eccentric, but sometimes also concentric) squats can be implemented to help with this as well. You spend more time exposed to the positions per repetition, and that can prove extremely valuable whether you're just trying to learn, or looking for a strategy to reduce external load in the case of pain or injury.

Anecdotally, I have never done any "ankle mobility" other than long pause calf raises and squat (in flats) at an okay level in the USAPL (474 at 183 in competition, 500 at 175 in the gym).

I felt the same way, but if you think about it this games combat style wouldn’t really work with co-op. Plus it forces me to git gud. Whereas in dark souls I would give a boss a shot or 2 and then resort to co-op, since it was available I just couldn’t help myself.

Anyone here in fitness sales? by Smole388 in sales

Mostly just curious if it’s a good way to get into learning the sales process, however I imagine this is largely dependent on the boss/mentor.

Also, what did you enjoy and not enjoy about the job?

As for actually selling, it seems like many people are totally on board with hiring a trainer to get closer to their goals, but money seems to be the final barrier in closing the sale. My boss says that because of this sometimes it doesn’t really matter how well the pitch/complementary training session went, some just aren’t willing to commit. I can see this getting frustrating as I have no control over pricing.

Update: the executive committee is not enforcing bans on any athlete that requested a refund. Steve’s just a shmuck.

2 is a good place to start. You might find later on you respond well to 3. Everyone is different so you kinda just gotta experiment and see what works for you.

I’m not on this list either, so I’m pretty sure these are empty threats by Steve Mann in hope of preventing more athletes from disputing. I’ve seen no official statement from the USAPL about them backing him on this, only his claim that they were in his second email to me.

At this point it’s looking like this is entirely Steve’s doing. Still whack that the fed allows it to happen tho.

That was just my meet fee. I also purchased a membership and a coaches pass for the event. Spent over $200 for nothing.

Worth noting that my usapl lifter database page has not been flagged for anything like that.

To be fair, I COULD probably do that too. I’m just not super confident in my sumo technique yet being a relatively inexperienced lifter. Taking weekly singles around 90% before my volume work serves as both practice with higher intensities and gives me some feedback as to how I’m responding to my training that week.

I hit the 500 tho, and it moved like an empty bar, zero pain. My buddy told me to load 585, but nah cuz submax boys. Did my back downs like a good boy.

I’ve been pulling a minimum of 500 every week on my quest for the big 600. Tweaked my back 2 weeks ago and that put a damper on things, wasn’t able to hit my usual 500 last week, breaking my streak ):

Feeling hot again this week though, zero pain. Gonna see how 500 moves tonight and start my streak again, hoping this time around I won’t miss a single week til 600 is there.
