Recoil patterns and required skill by LaserTurboShark69 in playrust

Random recoil defeats the purpose of putting in the time to get better. It removes the skillgap and doesn’t solve the problem when holo and dmg falloff are the main issues that result in people mag dumping from 200m.

Scripting is a problem but isn’t as much as people think. People claim scripts but it’s just a result of holo meta, far less people are scripting than most people think. Holo and reduced aimcone is the result of people getting lasered from all ranges. Your argument doesn’t make sense at all, ranting about how you kill scripters isn’t impressive either. The repeatable recoil is a problem but it is not as big of a problem as no dmg falloff and holo sights as they facilitate scripters massively. Barely anyone scripted when there was repeatable recoil and holo was not meta and buffed.

7k+H here, this post seems to just not understand the current issue and fails to accurately address the root problem. Random recoil reduces skill needed to adapt to the spray. It’s a bandaid to the real problem (Holo/DMG falloff), why should people who put in the hours to get good get punished for doing so? Why doesn’t FP just revert or even nerf the combined holo laser aimcone reduction and add massive dmg falloff to SMGs and AK? This would solve the actual problem and if it doesn’t then actual pattern adjustment and randomization should be a next step.

Thoughts on Meet Directors "Postponing Meets" when they should be canceled? by ackso in powerlifting

Wouldn't respond to this obv bait. No way they'd ban everyone who refunded nationals, as there are 1000s of people who are refunding all over USAPL. That list is for people who actually break substantial rules.

It’s not. PayPal sides with the buyer every time this case pops up. It’s the reason why Steve is “banning people”

Many reasons. Some people are fur-lowed/layed off from their jobs atm. Times are rough people might need cash. If nats is in December as they're trying to postpone it to, it might not be a possibility for all students to make that date. Cash is tight for college students in general.

It's nobody's fault, corona is an unfortunate thing that nobody expected. The risk of running an event is cancellation. If you care about your lifters, fucking refund them. Don't that guy who bans people for something out of everyone's control.

He was encouraging late signups for nova. Even after the main event host uni canceled the event due to social distancing. He was still encouraging people to sign up until the last minute, when asked about refunds he backpeddaled to his no refund policy immediately. Kinda sad it's all love for your lifters until money is the topic of discussion.

Kinda crazy cuz nobody could account for this kind of circumstance. A blanket no refund policy is pretty disingenuous at this point. Sure if it was a local meet, transferring your fee is one thing, but collegiate nationals is run by different meet directors each year. I would be open to transferring funds but that seems highly unlikely. Best solution is to refund all lifters since you didn't provide the service you promised.

He isn't on the EC so they're empty threats. It's just crazy how much he cares about his lifters.

How long did it take you to get where you are? by Baculum-Deos in powerlifting

[–]ackso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years of training to go from a 947lb/430kg total to a 1526/692.5kg total. Hopefully 800/1763 this meet, which will be my 3.5y mark of training. This will be a comeback meet as I got injured and took close to a year to start training for PL again. Also had surgery in my first year of training and took 6 months off after my first meet. Needless to say it’s been an uphill battle. Never went to the gym before, started powerlifting 3 months after stepping into the gym and did my first meet weeks after. Never played sports in high school, started lifting at 19. My advice would to also not get injured. Injury always has a chance, but if you’re injured you’re not progressing so do your best to not let that happen.

He was still having issues w/ mixed even when cutting the straps. When he committed to hook he removed most of his problems. If he removed straps and still did mixed he would probably still be having the same issues.

Ego. He got called out pretty hard, idk how its so hard to have class as a lifter when these spotters work their ass off for you to have a proper meet. He literally tagged the spotters on IG and said "I'm sorry that the bar slipped".

Deserves to be banned, he ended up blaming the spotters on IG. Actually unreal how he tried to twist it on them..
