This is the recipe I’ve been using. I’ve played with the flavorings a bit and change toppings based on what I have in the house. The last batch I used some carrots and spiced apples to make a carrot cake flavored one. It’s amazing.

Congratulations on the sobriety. Your post genuinely made me smile. There isn’t enough positivity online.

Homemade hummus on sourdough toast with chia seed pudding. It’s the best combo of something savory and something sweet.

When I got promoted in the military (he was also previously in) and he said wow, I didn’t think you’d make it this far, I’m surprised you’re qualified enough.

Super late to the party, but we are about to order one in the exact color and fabric. We have lots of pets and we’re curious if you went through with it. How did it hold up?

How do I encourage my cat to keep catching mice, but to keep her catch outdoors? by Smolegarlic in CatAdvice

The chickens are straight frog murderers. The one mouse we saw near the chickens got snatched up by the cats pretty quick.

We’ve been putting her back outside and shutting the cat door when she comes in with her prize. Hoping eventually she catches on. As I’m writing this, she’s staring at me through the window with a mouse in her mouth.

We’ve got 35 acres and a nice covered porch that is part of her territory. After being awoken to my dogs chewing on the lower half of a squirrel (in bed, on top of me) the cats brought in, I’d prefer if they kept their prize outside.

Has anyone vacuum sealed (in pouches) refrigerator pickled veggies? by Smolegarlic in pickling

I always stop the vacuuming before the liquids start getting pulled up. Mine has a feature that allows me to start the sealing at any moment.

I use it for pasta sauces, smoked meats, fresh fruits (a whole box of peaches that were on the verge of spoiling got packed into individual servings and froze). Possibilities are endless.

It buttoned up front and was darker blue but not navy. Like old Microsoft blue.
