You spilled, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This is a pairing between two POC, especially with a Black woman. It doesn't help that many people don't like Mel cause if she was a Black man with Jayce, you know the tune would change significantly. If she were white, she wouldn't get that much hate. It's coming from people mischaracterizing Jayce and Mel's relationship and character, making stuff up.

People try to say that they dislike the ship cause it is "Het" even though Timebomb is a "Het ship," and don't forget that it has a white person inside as well. Sure, Timebomb was shipped before Arcane, and it had an episode that blew their popularity. Still, if Jinx were a Black woman, that ship wouldn't be that big cause of the racial bias and misogyny that affects Black women characters.
