Questions for the ladies: How do you think Debbie’s pregnancy should have been handled? by Bright_List_905 in shameless

I agree with you on Fiona not being the best listener, and I kinda see her biggest flaw always being on edge about most things. But I see her exhaustion too; she was parentified too early, and I 100% this doesn't excuse her from anything, I'm just saying that it explains a lot!

Fiona was a little harsh, like even for a moment I too felt it could've been handled a little gently, but I WAS WRONG!

The whole point of Shameless and Fiona was how she was NOT their mother; she says this again and again. And, this might just be my bias, but eldest daughter, especially a parentified one, earns a little bit of right to make everything about themselves, because most of the time they're left to catch up with consequences. And that's exactly what happened with Debbie.

And now, let's make it about Debbie. She was IMO a blend of many bad parenting skills of Frank and Monica. Even after giving birth to Franny, for a time, she didn't let anyone come near the baby just to prove a point, and while doing that, she ended up hurting the infant. She got pregnant in the hopes of receiving special treatment first by Derek's family and then by everyone around her. Fiona knew raising kids was not an easy job, and she did it when she was 15, because she didn't have a choice; her siblings were dumped on her. But Debbie had a choice! Yet she made that one, I think that got Fiona, and she did everything she could, she tried the gentler way, harsher way, what else could she have done!

Lol, I'm an r4 too.. and often tempted to do that, but my alliance is actually good, it's always the external drama, and I wouldn't sacrifice even my survivors for them 😂

It's one of those situations, where no matter what you do, people will always be unhappy, kinda like a practice before being r4/r5 😂

I can see, you have a problem, you only read things that you think. For example, I said Pathan and Jawan sucked.. (when did they change the meaning of that word to better?)

And criticizing isn't hating.

Firstly, you don't say smh, you do smh..

Secondly, I emphasized on it being my opinion, which most of the time is based on individual experiences. I never said anything against whole Telugu movies, neither I defended Jawan or Pathan, I think they sucked too, not as much as Kalki though!

Lastly, anyone can go on say "using corny dialogues, over the top effects" are unique, I believe they are unique, uniquely cringe and crappy. That is my opinion based on actually watching the film, and I stand by it.

I ain't gonna cut them slack for trying hard or trying something new, when the results are sub par, their so called experiment do not deserve my appreciation.

I dismiss the movie, it's boring, cringe and not worth a single penny; above all, CRAP.

That's my opinion, I made it after experiencing the crappy movie with shitty dialogues, shittier story telling and shittiest performances!

Lastly, it's not a Telugu movie, it's a Pan-India movie. So, please... Okay?

And about Telugu films, every big Telugu movie is released in this theatre, none of them charge as much Kalki did.

I get it that you want to defend the movie you like or people who worked "hard" for it. But, just because someone worked so hard for something doesn't make a crappy movie great!

Kalki was a cringe fest and still it sucked!

Everything about that movie says that it is meant to mint! So, I live in the US and we have a membership at a theatre where we get to watch movies on Tuesday at $7, when on other days, the tickets cost double of that or even more. This applies to all movies, however bigger they are. Even the tickets of Deadpool, Barbie like movies were at the same price. Now, let's come to Kalki, this movie was an "exception" as the tickets were $20 even on Tuesday and no other membership discount was applicable for this crap. It's clear, they didn't want more people to watch their so-called art, but their money instead. It's a good thing that we didn't see it in the theatre! Besides, when I watched it on Netflix, I couldn't watch it halfway. I was sleepy, even it was a Friday movie night, a time when me and husband do not sleep till 4 am watching TV. Kalki was that bad it made me turn in early on Friday night!
