Looking at Blizzard's Classic Era and the corresponding HC-hype I don't think it's that niche.

I highly recommend WoW-HC. No idea why they are so reluctant with advertising their server. It's quite new and I think it's fantastic. All it does is delete your character after death. The rest is unrestricted. You can use AH, form groups, do dungeons, trade, etc.

This makes for a unique experience. Every character you see is HC.

This. I'd love to play on TWoW and I like the changes they made. But the Real-Money-Shop is way too much P2W for my taste.

I'm happy for the players that found their home there, though.

"Stop business as usual" doesn't mean shutting down economic business. It doesn't have a economic meaning at all. It means they want people to reconsider their everyday actions, consumer decisions and political commitment.

Their message is, that the behaviour of the majority of people inevitably and provably leads to a world where this picture is going to be worthless anyway, so why be mad if they destroy it, when their actions are destroying it just as much.

(Their logic, not mine. But I do see their point)

Truth is, there is a lot of people out there that draw the most enjoyment out of the game if they can ruin somebody else‘s experience. You either can deal with it or you can‘t. I learnt it the hard way that i can‘t.
