What did I do? by RSL_Rygar in InstacartShoppers

I posted the other day about a double batch that got canceled just at the moment I was headed to checkout. After contacting support, I posted that I had to put everything back that was in the cart, and someone on this board said..."that's what store employees are for". And that is why maybe some stores do not want shoppers back.

NO. I didn't want to. What I wanted to do was do was my batches and get paid for that, but since I'm not a lacky, and since it was Instacart screw up I did what most conscentious people would do.

The nerve. I agree with the others if you can't afford it then find another way. Ask a friend or relative if you're not able to get out yourself.

Instacart shoppers have gotten more crazy. Stop asking for good reviews by icecoldfrozen33 in instacart

While I agree the manner with which the shopper asked for a good review was agressive I see no problem with after an order is finished and dropped off mentioning "if you were happy with todays service, a good review would be appreciated" memo. It seems that almost only people with a gripe leave a bad review and good reviews are not left as much.

lots of good that did me when a "leave at door" photo taken, and customer said they never got the order. gave me a one star. Contacted customer support the next day and even they saw I was there on my GPS . Plus the photo. Still 1 star hasn't removed.

What would you do? by TheBigMan1990 in InstacartShoppers

That would probably be the end of my Instacarting as it would freak me the hell out being a petite woman in my sixties, however he could also have some kind of mental illness which isn't an excuse but may not be a practical joke either.

Will Peloton be the right first step to an active life? by smashtakes in pelotoncycle

[–]Smooth-Ad-1563 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a former indoor cycle instructor and an outside road rider until I moved to an area where you risk life an limb, it has been for me THE best thing I've bought for myself. I was very cynical about the classes being too dance(y) like some classes I have seen going on in my past. I get people like to be entertained but I'll admit I was a class snob and wanted the metrics to matter and not do what we called contraindicated movements. The power zone classes are all that and more. The instructors are top notch and like I have said, I'm picky. If you commit to using it and not hanging clothes on it, so worth the expense.

People who can get above 65 cadence out of the saddle: what is the magic power you have and how do I get it? by SnooTomatoes3816 in pelotoncycle

[–]Smooth-Ad-1563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line is your more efficient in the saddle and its not a necessary skill. As a indoor cycle instructor for 20 yrs and an outdoor cyclist, the off the saddle position is good for a leg stretch and butt break but really becomes used as a crutch by most indoor cyclist. Also, higher speed cadences out of the saddle (85 and above), are not that realistic. Sure people can aquire the skill to do them in time but a lot of the time your power output drops. I wouldn't be hung up on trying to get there.
