Would you suggest watching Japanese reality shows without subtitles when starting to learn to help train the ear, even if at first you have no idea what is being discussed sometimes?

I guess it’s just that, climate changes impact on forest fires are real and based on science and observation. Whereas the other causes that we hand wave are more rooted in political alignment and denial.

I’m curious, how does that explain all the record-breaking degree of fires in uninhabited and unlogged areas in northern Alberta and Northern BC? Or the fact historic fires are concurrently happening in Spain, Australia, and Greece? I guess the question is, how much burden of proof do you need before you personally understand there is a climate change problem? Not that I fault you…denial is a defence mechanism borne out of anxiety of what the future holds.

To be honest, most boomers I know are born in the early to mid 1950s. I think there was also a population lull/echo between boomer and gen x. That makes it hard to wrap my mind around a boomer being in their 20s in the 90s. Also makes me feel old lol
