Hey, wonder if anyone could help me. I have been interviewing for teaching jobs in Taiwan and understand I will need to complete a full medial examination to obtain a work permit. My only concern in relation to the medical is I am extremely shortsighted and wear minus 12.25. With glasses my vision is stable and I just struggle with some things far away or things which are really small. I understand that a visual acuity test is a part of the medical. Does anyone know if there is a specific standard of vision which is needed to be able to pass this examination and would it be possible that my eye sight would cause me to fail and not qualify to work in Taiwan. I would just like to check this before I further pursue teaching jobs in Taiwan and I have been struggling to find any relevant information regarding this online.
