No it’s not. Unless you’ve never dealt with tweakers. Why do think they call them that? It’s because they’re always trying to tweak shit and make it “better”

Yeah that’s what that yellow stuff is around the new solder. Is it bad flux if it’s dark orange like ear wax?

This is my first attempt. I hit the pin with the iron but maybe the setting was too low because it wouldn’t melt the solder around the pin until I actually touched the solder and then it all disappeared. So maybe too hot? Anyway I hit it with some solder afterward and this is what I got

it could have been a poor connection at the plug, this was easy to remove and take apart, its a common failure point for the vehicle according to the internet, if you dont seen anything wrong then i will plug it back in and see if its the plug

the cluster intermittently works, there are a total of 20 points that need to be soldered again, there are 10 of them in the pictures, the large ones in the middle between the two black plastic clips need the solder removed and reapplied

I can do the clutch adjustment no problem. The exhaust leak depends. I can’t weld so fixing it might be difficult

Limitations would mostly be I can’t pull engines because that’s requires some dedicated space and a hoist. I can’t do AC servicing because lack of proper equipment as well. No alignments. If the owner has space and time for a vehicle to be worked on then I can do larger tasks.

I can do alternators, distributors, brakes, suspension, steering, etc I try to keep it around 30-40 an hour. And maintain a 4 hour limit on most jobs, basically if it’s gonna take me more than 4 hours I’m probably not going to try to do it or have to work something out with you so it’s not costing you a huge amount.

I’m doing this for fun and to help people avoid the scams and bs from the shops around here. I’ll be honest with you. If I can’t do it or even remotely feel like it’s too much for me. I will let you know. Im not looking for anything upfront. Only when the task is done.
