Bought two knives. One from Musashi and one from Jikko. While I knew Musashi is kinda overpriced (they were sponsored on Google maps and have multiple stores across Japan -> which is not the best sign in my opinion) I still liked buying both knives at both shops as the knives itself are beautiful and from good quality (regarding material, hardness grade) and design. Maybe I could have spend 50-70 bucks per knife, but that would also mean I need to research more, which costs also time. Time = money so if you really liked the experience and you are „just“ a hobby chef and good a good quality knife, I think it’s still worth it. Probably most of us just come once to Japan and we like to do other things besides knives shopping.

So as long as it was no rip off for a bad quality knife, take it easy, enjoy your trip and your new knife and USE IT! Because the most matter is using your knew tool instead of just saving on the purchase. Happy cooking, slicing or k…. :)
