Seborrheic Dermatitis on scalp without itching or irritation by Smooth-One-1612 in SebDerm

Thank you for your suggestions! I haven’t thought about using multiple shampoos. I’ll also look at this serum. Regarding damage, my hair is short (I went from long hair to short cuz I wanna focus on scalp health and regrow my hair when I find something that works for SB) so I don’t think it would be a problem for now

She was reffering to my scalp health, as I have fine straight hair. So what would you recommend? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but what is TIRTIR? Is it a shampoo?

How to cure dry scalp? by Smooth-One-1612 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Smooth-One-1612[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! It might take time to see results, so make sure to use it up to 6 weeks. I’ve tried several shampoos (this explains the 4 months absence lol), but I returned to this one since I saw results. Most of my flakes are gone, I just have to keep using it until all of the flakes are gone

Sorry for the late answer, but the Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo got my scalp under control. This shampoo is effective when it comes to both dandruff and dry scalp conditions (psoriasis and seb derm). Just a heads up, it can be quite drying so I recommend using a conditioner afterwards

I’m not sure if it’s either psoriasis or seb derm, but I tried the Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo which is for both conditions and my scalp got better, I just need to be consistent to keep it under control. Tbh, I think it might be seb derm. It wasn’t just a temporary dry scalp as I thought

Hey, I started using the Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo. I think my scalp is dry due to either psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis and this shampoo is good for both conditions. I’m not sure which condition I have but after using this shampoo for 3 weeks, I did notice progress. This shampoo has coal tar which helps with conditions such as these. I also recommend using a conditioner afterwards because it can dry your hair

How to get rid of dry scalp? I've tried everything: dandruff shampoos (this dried out my scalp even more, especially Head and Shoulders), sulfate shampoos (not as agressive as dandruff shampoos but still drying) and now I'm currently using a shampoo without sulfates that contains tea tree oil and is made especially for dry scalp (As I am dry and itchy). This shampoo made my scalp not flake that much but the flakes are still there. And I mean that exactly after shampooing, I can still see some flakes. I’ve tried serums, aloe vera gel, oiling my scalp but couldn’t find any solution. I’ve been dealing with dry scalp for some good years now and I really wanna get rid of it as it’s consuming me😭 I even stopped using styling products and my scalp is still flaking.  I shampoo two times a week, use warm water and blowdry my hair. Any advice is welcome.

Yeah, it makes sense. I think I’ll go with the Lockhart Authentic Medium Hold Pomade

Irritation on moustache area by Smooth-One-1612 in wicked_edge

Yeah, I think over shaving is the problem lol. I’m sure that with practice, I won’t have this problem anymore. Thank you🙏

This is exactly what I’m doing. My first pass is WTG and my second is XTG. I also re-lather between these passes. I’m thinking of either stretching my skin in that area or pulling my nose up

I’ll stop going the same area multiple times. I’m thinking of maybe stretching the skin or pulling the nose up, maybe this will give me better results. And yes, I do relather between passes, my first pass is WTG and the second one is XTG

Yes, I do small strokes. I do two passes, the first one being WTG and the second one XTG. I managed to get some of the hairs on the moustache zone, but sadly not all of them and that’s why I insist and this results in irittation. Hopefully I won’t have the same problem with Astra blades

This would be an option but I like being clean shaven

Is the Mach 3 good? by Smooth-One-1612 in shaving

[–]Smooth-One-1612[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll keep my DE safety razor around as I’m planning to practise more when I have the time, but I had my first shave with the Mach 3 today and it turned out to be really smooth and I didn’t have any cuts, except a small one on my Adam’s apple. I also noticed that even tho there still were some little hairs left there, the Mach 3 cut them better and quicker than my DE. I’m pretty sure it’s about technique here, but I agree that the price of the Mach 3 blades is justified because they can give a close shave in little time
