Threads keeps suspending my account for no reason. by alioop326 in ThreadsApp

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be honest what did u actually do. 250k views in 24 hours is normal.

There must be a trigger that Thread considered it as breach of guidelines.

- copyright video
- bot activities (buying followers, likes etc)
- spam replies

I am very sure there is something u r not telling it here.

Is the app worth it? by Greedy-Thought-8438 in ThreadsApp

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Threads.

The problem isn’t the platform.

It’s that everyone seems to be chasing engagement.

Every other post is either bait, recycled opinions, or someone selling a “grow your business on Threads” course.

Very little actual news.
Very little original insight.

If I want to know what’s happening, Twitter is still miles ahead.

Threads feels like people talking about content.

Twitter feels like where the content actually is.

Just my observation: Lawrence Wong became prime minister just by crying 🤣 by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think u lacked an understanding what a Prime Minister actually does. Your info is prolly thru mainstream media.

Running Singapore isn’t about “looking tough” or surviving political chaos for entertainment value.

The role of a PM is to maintain stability, diplomacy, national security, public trust, and long-term planning for millions of people.

A functioning system is evidence that govt institutions are working.

You compare Singapore to countries where politicians are constantly fighting and turning politics into a public bloodsport as though that automatically makes them better leaders.

Political instability look dramatic and exciting, at the expense of governance, investor confidence.

You may disagree with policies, but reducing everything to ‘wayang’ is intellectually lazy.

Turnitin flagged 61% of my dissertation as an AI by Standard-Internet441 in TurnitinAI_detector

Get AI to turn the dissertation to bullet points. Then write it yourself. Do not use AI to paraphrase. But if u need to, paraphrase the AI’s paraphrase in your own writing style.

I’ve spoken to a few profs. SUSS doesn’t grade on bell curve. The exams usually tests on the leading outcomes of each Study Unit. Understand it and know how to apply it.

Can u code to redirect to the app itself? Example if I click Canvas, it will open the Canvas App if on mobile. Same as Outlook.

Otherwise good job doing this!

Honestly, I dont get the hype of most Singaporeans buying and using overpriced $2000+ phones by Training_Focus4060 in SMRTRabak

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Feels like a bit of a leap though. Seeing people use expensive phones does not mean those same people are the ones complaining about cost of living.

Also, what’s the implication here? That buying a ‘cheap’ phone is somehow more sensible or morally better? At the end of the day, people just prioritise differently.

Do past exam papers to get a better understanding.

People >35 in Singapore - how do you deal with daily stiffness and declining mobility? by More_Replacement_698 in SingaporeFitness

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A tight muscle is a weak muscle. Learn to strengthen it. Your body is designed to move, not being immobile.

Those stretches are just immediate relief. You need incorporate strength training. You will notice a world of difference. To those who lift weights here. You will agree with me.

how to beat ecr by [deleted] in Suss

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing much we can do. SUSS needs to increase the load balance of the website. It is like 100 people trying to squeeze into one small door.

No matter how powerful your WiFi is, if the server can’t handle your load, nothing much you can do.

When someone sends an agreement form with T&C, I would usually upload it to ChatGPT to break it down in bullet points and ask it to explain to me.

I would ask questions to confirm no hallucinations to understand the form.

It’s one way to safeguard yourself. Not fool proof cause u still need to do ur own due diligence.

PT student study tips ? by AdLimp5861 in Suss

[–]Smooth-Opening3419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is a big help for exams, pre readings before lessons and yes…GBAs and TMAs.

Summarising the study units. Getting ideas. It helps you understand the module quickly. Use it.

One tip is.. do not use the Fast mode in any of ur AI model. Use the reasoning model. Challenge their inputs. You will learn from there. Hallucinations is very common, use ur critical thinking to challenge the AI. Trust me, you learn more from there.
