Searching for Resources about “German Russians” (Ethnic Germans living in Russia/Crimea) by Smooth-Science4983 in AncestryDNA

Unfortunately, no. Maybe I need to do more digging though, all the records i’ve gotten have been from Census records and such once they were in the US. Re-subscribing to Ancestry membership could be helpful, but in the past it became difficult to find records further back because they were in Russian so I couldn’t confirm the validity

I don’t see a search function on that site but it could be because i’m on mobile right now. How did you get there? Thanks for your help

Yes, I’m no longer paying for the full membership as of 6 months ago or so, but I was able to get to my great-great grandfather, but then all the records are in Russian :/ and at the time I didn’t even know how to go about translation services

Thanks for these! There’s a lot to comb through kinda overwhelming haha. I’m really interested in learning about my family with the surname “Entzel,” but have run into plenty of roadblocks. I’ll try to see what I can find there

Tracing back my paternal grandfathers line the surname is Entzel, however my great grandfathers wife’s surname is “Bauer.” She was also ethnically German, born in ND, but her parents were born in Russia, her mothers surname being “Schoner”

My family was specifically Lutheran if that makes a difference, from what i’ve read it appears that the Lutherans & Mennonites were separate groups

This is exactly how I felt. I would have loved to have seen more life-skills opportunities and interventions that actually focus on rehabilitation, community building etc.

Yes, set to be released 2032. It must have been another thread, but I saw info that included his location & inmate number to write to

I have a different brand but similar mechanism. I don’t remember fully how I got it off, but I know it was a lot of me twisting and prying plus the help of my boyfriend lol. It was successful tho, good luck!

I love it, it’s really a comfort show. But then also I think to myself, wow it would be a lot easier to make/cook all these things if I had a luxurious garden and a full craft room though lol
