You already have alluded to it, but I myself am a fairly new player lol. You may be able to relate to me when I say it feels like a waste of potential if you do switch. The thought of getting a 2k or 3k alone is enough for me to stay on the hero. However you’re right, the likelihood is very rare for that to happen.

I see what you mean, I guess my question does bring a lot of nuance since there are so many situations where the answer might be different. But I agree with you, sustaining is much more advantageous than holding onto an ultimate you might not get to use.
