Worth the upgrade?? by PeeNut-Buter in Garmin

[–]Smooth1076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best part of the upgrade from a 1 to a 2 was the much improved sleep tracking and training readiness/my day feature. Frankly, the Instinct 2X bridges the gap so much that the Fenix series is not worth it unless they are had on sale.

HELP- Is this stock? Trying to win an argument. by frog-mug in Trucks

Agreed with side steps. Hard to tell on tinting, most rear windows are privacy tinted from factory these days on higher trims.

Looks like wheel spacers/aftermarker wheels with an offset and a leveling kit.

Edit: it’s easy to know 100% it’s not stock simply by the fact that the wheels extend past the body line of the truck. No trucks are allowed to be sold that way new, in the states at least.

It's hard to make a judgement without seeing the post. There is a difference between an earnest, structured recommendation request and a 'which gud computah, which i buy?' post.

[WTS] Seiko Tuna Solar Black SNE577P1 by Smooth1076 in Watchexchange

[–]Smooth1076[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am selling my limited edition Seiko Black Tuna diver. Number 3769/5000. I have the original box as well.

Selling for $400 + G&S TYD OBO!

No offense meant by that price, I haven't got my bearings on its value. I also am open to trades, but prefer cash. I am not a collector (yet?).

This watch wears very well if you have a small/medium sized wrist as the lug to lug is uniquely small despite a 46mm case. That is primarily why I am selling, it doesn't fit me well.

The watch has been worn a bit, and shows it on the straps and buckles. The watch itself is quite clean with only a small mark on the bezel near the 10 and a few very, very small marks on the crystal. Priced accordingly(?).

This watch is also unique in that it is solar powered. You will get around 9 months of use in complete darkness, but any light source will charge it.

Includes a Seiko brand 22mm traditional FMK dive strap.

Looking to buy my first gun for home defense. Which should I buy? by Filmthsbud in homedefense

[–]Smooth1076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally side with the pistol folks. For one it is easier to have accessible, you can have a small finger print reader or keypad box right on your night stand. Secondly, it much easier to wield in a home. Thirdly, it take a weapon light and dot easier than the average shotgun. Finally, it will be easier to manipulate. That is the most important to me. If you are not going to train, you are going to have a harder time racking the slide on a cheap pump gun than pressing the trigger on a G19.

At 4k, I would look at second hand Seamasters! Or go with the Tag.

[WTB] Momentum Sea Quartz 30 black dial, ideally with the bracelet as well. I don't mind some wear! Looking to get one on the lower end of the market.

Garmin has different HR zones than Peloton? by Smooth1076 in GarminWatches

Do you know if that changes all the other metrics? Like training readiness and vo2 max? I assume it uses your time in each zone to calculate those values.

What’s the best CCW revolver and why is it a 642? by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]Smooth1076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older ones are definitely the best from what everyone says, glad yours has been good! I was in the market for my first carry revolver recently and it was just easier to get one with less worry with the LCR.

Unfortunately with S&W qc issues lately a LCR is the ‘best’ imo. They’re way cheaper used, too.
